HENRY WINKLER

Beloved screen icon and Chiefs fan Henry Winkler returns to Kansas City for Planet Comicon KC’s 25th Anniversary. You love him as Coach Klein in The Waterboy, Gene in the Emmy Award-winning Barry, and his iconic role as The Fonz in the American television staple Happy Days.

ADAM SAVAGE

Also making a return to Kansas City is one of our favorite guests, Adam Savage. You know him as one of the Mythbusters on Discovery Channel’s groundbreaking series. Adam’s current YouTube channel Tested, puts him at the intersection of science, entertainment, and emerging technology.

NIKA FUTTERMAN

The talented voice actress behind Asajj Ventress in Star Wars: The Clone Wars. She’s voiced characters in fan favorite properties such as DC Super Hero Girls, The Loud House, and Open Season.

HANNAH NICOLE MAEHRER

Hannah is a New York Times bestselling author and creator of a viral TikTok series about the sunshine assistant to the evil villain and their unexpected romance. Her latest, “Assistant To The Villain” is coming to the screen from Legendary Television.

Part of our Happy Days reunion, fans know and love Anson as the lovable “Potsie”. Anson is also an accomplished television director who’s been behind the camera on such properties as SeaQuest, Star Trek, and more.

Fans remember Don for his comedic energy as jokester Ralph Malph in the hit series Happy Days. His career has seen him featured in tons of special guest starring roles on Baywatch, Star Trek: Voyager, and Glee.

THE EMPEROR COMES TO PLANET COMICON KANSAS CITY 2024!

Emperor Palpatine himself, Ian McDiarmid, will be part of Planet Comicon Kansas City’s 25th Anniversary.

As part of this appearance we are offering a very limited number of Ian McDiarmid VIP packages for each day of the convention. Ian McDiarmid VIP includes one autograph on an 8×10 provided by the convention or fan provided photo, one professional photo op, one commemorative VIP lanyard and badge, plus a priority access seating to the Ian McDiarmid Q&A panel on Friday March 8, 2024 (Time TBD).

Additional autographs can be purchased for $125 per autograph on an 8×10 convention or fan provided 8×10 photo. Charge for autograph on memorabilia (anything other than 8×10 photo) is $150 per item/signature.

NOTE:

Ian McDiarmid VIP packages does NOT include admission to Planet Comicon KC 2024. A valid single day admission for the day of VIP package or 3-day weekend admission to PCKC 2024 is necessary.

Planet Comicon Kansas City is partnering with Galaxycon Virtual to offer “Mail-In” autograph services for select guests at Planet Comicon KC 2024. Choose between a convention provided photo or mail in your own memorabilia for autographs from your favorite Planet Comicon KC guest. Planet Comicon Kansas City 25th Anniversary Cosplay Contest!

It wouldn’t be Planet Comicon Kansas City without a cosplay party! We have big plans to celebrate the long standing presence cosplay has had throughout Planet Comicon KC history including this year’s Cosplay Contest. PCKC’s cosplay contest is an opportunity to showcase the awesome skills from both local and visiting cosplayers based on craftsmanship and character portrayal.

On Saturday March 9, 2024 in our Grand Ballroom 2501 AB, we will throw the 2024 Planet Comicon Kansas City Cosplay Contest sponsored by B&B Theaters and Nebraska Furniture Mart. The contest will feature a huge $15,000 prize pool. We are pleased to announce that Ming Chen and Luna Flare are returning this year as our contest emcees. Those looking for information on categories and how to apply can find the rules and regulations on our website.

Applications for contestants will open on January 30, 2024.

Don’t miss out, only a very limited number of contestants will be selected.

DON’T FORGET ABOUT THE YOUNG FANS 25TH ANNIVERSARY COSPLAY SHOWCASE

One of the most entertaining events of the convention is The Young Fans Cosplay Showcase! This is a cosplay exhibition for Planet Comicon fans from 3-14 years of age. It’s a showcase for our youngest attendees that wish to show their costumes and walk the stage. This is not a judged competition and no prizes are at stake but you will be entertained and walk away with a smile when you see these young cosplayers take the stage.

Where: Come to the PEZ Performance and Demo Stage at the north end of the exhibit hall on Sunday March 10. Signups start at 11:30am at the PEZ stage. 75 participants will be accepted. Lineup for the show begins at 12:30pm and the show starts at 1:00pm.
