ICONHello to all of our past and future COMIC BOOK I-CON Artist Area Creators…….

The “Lil Con That Can” is back for our annual event!

I hope you are having a great year and have saved a spot at our event on your Fall calendar. I apologize if you get or will repeatedly get more than 1 email from me for the I-CON. I believe I have my most up-to-date email list but I know there are repeats in there. Let me know if you get too many repeats and I will try and take off some.

Comic Book I-CON will be on Saturday OCT 19 and will be at the same place as last year but with a different venue name. The venue is called Barratta’s @ Forte Banquet and Conference Center…….whew long one! The address is 615 3rd street, Des Moines, IA 50309.

Last year’s event was a big success which give me great hope we can do it again or even better. Part of that success is communication…..SPREAD THE WORD! Please check out our facebook page and specifically our event page. Let us know if you are coming and pass it onto friends that would enjoy it too OK? I am including a jpg of our soon to be posted all over town and surrounding areas POSTER. Feel free to post it on your page if you are coming please.

I am including the Artist Area Form with this email. Please look it over and send it back as soon as you can to get your 8 ft table. Each table comes with 2 chairs and you can buy extra chairs if you need to. PLEASE spread the word to other creators. It is a first come basis for spots. I need your contract to secure your place. A verbal “hold” will not get you a table. I know there are more of you out there than I have emails for so if you know someone who would enjoy our event let them know…..THANKS. I always ask that if you feel you can share your table with another creator please do so. Every year we have table issues it seems. I have been lucky to fill most requests but do have to leave some people out sometimes. If you can split a table with a friend who is coming it will open up a space in the I-CON as well in the parking situation…..eeewww shudder at that thought.
We will put you on our site once we get your info. If you have been to the site you will see that it is not current. We have a new site ready to pop up but I am waiting for the final pieces…..nothing like waiting to the last minute.

OK that should cover it for now but please let me know if you have any questions and I will do my best to answer them. I look forward to seeing some old friends and making some news ones like I do every year. Thanks in advance for giving the Comic Book I-CON some of your time.
