The 4th annual Original Art Expo (OAX) will exclusively showcase original comic book, illustration, collector card, comic strip, game, animation, and other visual storytelling art. The show is an intimate, intense, and immersive three-day art fair and trade show hybrid focused entirely on this emerging and important art collecting category. OAX 2027 will bring together a minimum of 90 prominent artists alongside more than 60 art dealers, artist reps, auction houses, and related groups with the goal of making OAX the most anticipated and largest new art drop event of the year. OAX has sold out of VIP tickets each year, with year three bringing together more than 1000 people over the weekend.
The 44 Artists announced at launch for OAX 2027 include Manix Abrera, Julie Bell, Simone Bianchi, Ben Bradi, Dan Brereton, Elvin Ching, Becky Cloonan, Martin Coccolo, Amanda Conner, JP Cuison, Eranga Devasurendra, Simone Di Meo, Delio Diaz, Dan Dos Santos, JM Dragunas, EM Gist, Jordan Gunderson, Hicham Habchi, Bryan Hitch, Adam Hughes, Adam Kubert, Tyler Lenaz, Nir Levie, James Martin, Roi Mercado, John Mungiello, Jimmy Palmiotti, David Palumbo, John Pearson, Raphael Pool, George Pratt, Von Randal, Esad Ribic, John Romita Jr, Budd Root, Dike Ruan, Uko Smith, Carlos Soca, Allison Sohn, Joe Staton, Zoe Thorogood, Jonathan Wayshak, Joe Whiteford, and Myles Wohl.
OAX, Artist, Exhibitor, Attendee, and community-generated events will be scheduled Friday through Sunday, and will be posted and described on the OAX website. The Friday event day kicks into full swing with an exclusive VIP Only Attendee Full Show Preview from 1:00-5:00pm EST on the OAX exhibition floor with nearly all Artists, Art Dealers, and Exhibitors set up. This Preview will be limited to only those Attendees with Weekend VIP badges.
Following the Friday VIP Preview, a VIP Cocktail Party and Drink & Draw & Fundraiser will be held in the outdoor pavilion from 6-9pm EST. The Friday evening outdoor event includes an open bar and stage, where several Artists will create artworks that Attendees can purchase, with select pieces going to charities. For those wishing to get food during the VIP Cocktail Party, multiple onsite options to purchase food will be available including the hotel restaurant, hotel bar, and a food truck. Many restaurants are within walking distance to get food before, during, or after the Cocktail Party.
Over the weekend the Show floor will be open from 10am to 5pm EST both Saturday, March 20th and Sunday, March 21st. The OAX Auction and Fundraising Event is Saturday evening from 6:15-8:00pm EST, which is preceded by The Jack & Roz Kirby Awards from 5:30-6:15pm EST. The Auction and Awards will once again be held in the outdoor pavilion, and includes an open bar and plenty of food for those attending.
