Spooky season is upon us, and we are celebrating in a big way on Saturday October 24th from 4 to 8 PM right here at Forbidden Planet NYC with an appearance by author Gary Gerani who will be signing copies of his brand-new book The Pumpkinhead Companion! Gary co-wrote the original screenplay for the classic 1988 Pumpkinhead film and is a living legend with an endless resume in pop-culture related achievements. He also just happens to be the creator of one of our personal favorite trading card series of all time, the over-the-top sci-fi gore fest Dinosaurs Attack!
Gary Gerani is an award winning fiction and non-fiction writer, screenwriter, filmmaker, art director, editor, publisher, and prolific film/TV historian. He’s also known as the “Card King,” having developed hundreds of entertainment products for Topps and related companies for half a century. In 1988, Gerani co-wrote the screenplay for PUMPKINHEAD with his fellow Brooklyn Scribe, Mark Patrick Carducci.
