Graphic novel author and artist Svetlana Chmakova will participate in the “Boston Reads Comics” event at the Boston Public Library’s Central Library in Copley Square on Saturday, July 26, 2025. The event will feature a conversation with Chmakova, where she will discuss her graphic novel Awkward and the art of creating and reading comics. There will also be drop-in activities celebrating comics and Chmakova’s work in the Children’s Library from 1 PM to 3 PM, preceding the main event in Rabb Hall.
