Voice Actors Attending Anime Boston 2024

Anime boston 2024 poster.Anime Boston, the largest anime convention in New England, announced another round of voice actor guests. Greg Ayres, Kira Buckland, Casey Mongillo, Yuya Hirose, Yuki Watanabe, Alyssa Marek, Kristen McGuire, Shannon D. Reed, Natalie Rial, and Jack Stansbury will be appearing at Anime Boston at the Hynes Convention Center, Boston, Mass, on March 29 through 31, 2024.

For almost 25 years and with over 376 credits to his name, Greg Ayres has played a great variety of characters. His current roles are Po in “The Eminence in Shadow,” Kenta Kanzaki in “The Dangers in My Heart,” Yū Nishinoya in “Haikyu!!,” Chai in “Shenmue the Animation,” God in “Dark Gathering,” and more. Of all of his many roles, his favorite will always be the real-life role of Little Brother to the guy with a big sippy cup and an even bigger heart who touched the world with his “Love and Laughter.”

Kira Buckland is a voice actor best known for playing Jolyne Cujoh in “JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean,” 2B in NieR:Automata, and Kuki Shinobu in Genshin Impact. Other popular roles include Mitsuri in “Demon Slayer,” Mary in “Kakegurui,” Setsuna in “Yashahime,” Rebecca in “EDENS ZERO,” Talim/2B in SOULCALIBUR VI, Falke in Street Fighter V, Kyoko in River City Girls, Hiyoko and Kirumi in the Danganronpa series, and many more!

Casey Mongillo is a voice actor, gamer, and musician based in Southern California. Among their many roles, they are most known for playing Shinji Ikari in the 2019 Netflix dub of “Neon Genesis Evangelion,” as well as Angel Devil in “Chainsaw Man,” Emporio in “JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean,” Scorbunny and Raboot in “Pokémon Journeys,” and the protagonist in Shin Megami Tensei V. Additionally, Casey is the producer and voice of Bakuryu in the Bloody Roar 2 Redub Project.

Yuya Hirose was born on April 9, is from Chiba Prefecture, and is affiliated with Arts Vision. His notable works include “Chained Soldier” as Yuki Wakura, “SSSS.GRIDMAN” as Yuta Hibiki, “Kinsou no Vermeil” as Alto Goldfield, and “IDOLiSH7” as Isumi Haruka, among others.

In 2009, Yuki Watanabe joined Tsuburaya Productions, where he became involved in rights management, events, and video production for the “Ultraman” series. In 2018, he had a fateful encounter with voice actor Yuya Hirose through the broadcast of “SSSS.GRIDMAN.” After joining Pony Canyon in 2019, he began full-scale production of anime works. “Chained Soldier” marks his second anime collaboration with Yuya Hirose as a lead actor.

Alyssa Marek is a Houston-based actor with stage, voice, and screen credits. She graduated from the University of Houston with a B.F.A. in acting. Her roles include Ruby Hoshino in “Oshi no Ko,” Nagomi Wahira in “Akiba Maid War,” Ryoko Mendo in “Urusei Yatsura,” Aika Natsukawa in “The Dreaming Boy Is a Realist,” Tsugiko in “Phantom of the Idol,” Ai Kamiyo in “Dark Gathering,” and more.

Kristen McGuire is a voice actor, artist, ADR director, and script adapter with over 300 credits across anime and video games. She is most well known for her work as Akane Kurokawa in “Oshi no Ko,” Milim Nava in “That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime,” Young Vash in “TRIGUN STAMPEDE,” Isabel Magnolia in “Attack on Titan: No Regrets,” Ruri in “Dr. Stone,” and many more!

Shannon D. Reed is an ADR director, writer, producer, and filmmaker. He has worked in the anime industry for Sentai Filmworks for over 10 years. Shows that he has directed include “Oshi no Ko,” “Ragna Crimson,” “Ninja Kamui” (as the assistant ADR director), “Call of the Night,” “Urusei Yatsura,” “Alice in Borderland,” “Dark Gathering,” the complete dub of the “Saint Seiya” series (1986), and many more!

Natalie Rial is a voice actress from Houston, Texas. Beginning her career in 2013, she can be heard as Kana Arima from “Oshi no Ko,” Yayoi Hozuki from “Dark Gathering,” Nazuna Nanakusa from “Call of the Night,” Rui Tachibana from “Domestic Girlfriend,” Momo Deviluke from Motto “To Love Ru,” Tione Hiryute from “Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?,” Shenhua from “Shenmue the Animation,” and so many more!

Jack Stansbury is a voice actor known for his roles as Aqua in “Oshi no Ko,” Ragna in “Ragna Crimson,” Mendo in “Urusei Yatsura,” and Heisuke Riseki in “Haikyu!! To the Top.” Outside the world of anime, Jack can also be heard as the entire male cast of the popular animated series SolarBalls on YouTube. Jack also performs in theater, most recently in the Houston Shakespeare Festival.
