Forbidden Planet is excited to team up with Aftershock once again! This time we are celebrating the release of the new oversized prestige format comic Jimmy’s Little Bastards #1 with an in-store signing featuring artist Russ Braun. Come down to Forbidden Planet NYC on Wednesday, August 17th from 6 to 8PM, meet Braun and get yourself a signed copy of Jimmy’s Little Bastards.

AfterShock Comics presents Jimmy’s Little Bastards, a sequel to Garth Ennis and Russ Braun’s 2017-18 James Bond parody Jimmy’s Bastards. The follow-up, which will be published as an oversized, three-part prestige miniseries, will see British superspy Jimmy Regent on extended leave, and settling down into middle aged life, while his illegitimate daughter Nancy takes on the role of battling his old foes. “But a mysterious message starts Jimmy looking into his family’s murky past… where he finds a clue to a strange and deadly new danger.” The comic will be colored by John Kalisz, and lettered by Rob Steen.

Russ Braun started working in comics in 1989 when Joe Orlando, his teacher at the School of Visual Arts, gave him his first paying gig at DC Comics. For the next few years he learned the business on the fly, working on everything from Batman: Legends of the Dark Knight to Swamp Thing, Animal Man, JLA and War of the Gods. For seven years he worked at Walt Disney Feature Animation Florida on the films Mulan, Tarzan, Emperor’s New Groove, Lilo & Stitch and Brother Bear. When the studio closed in 2004, he returned to New York and comics. He then worked on numerous titles for most of the major companies: Fables, Jack of Fables, Fairest and Sixpack & Dogwelder: Hard-Travelin’ Heroez for DC/Vertigo, Hellstorm: Son of Satan and Where Monsters Dwell for Marvel, and Battlefields and The Boys with Garth Ennis for Dynamite.

Join us at Forbidden Planet NYC for the Jimmy’s Little Bastards #1 release party and meet artist Russ Braun on Wednesday, August 17th from 6 to 8PM.
