Press Release:

We are a little over a month away from Planet Comicon Kansas City, one of the country’s most popular and largest pop culture conventions, and the excitement is starting to build towards the launch of our EPIC 20th anniversary adventure. As we get closer to the big weekend, we’re planning a number of events to get everyone fired up.

Join us TOMORROW, Friday, February 22nd from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Nebraska Furniture Mart in Village West in Kansas City, Kansas, for a mini-Planet experience! The event will be hosted by KCTV5’s Nathan Vickers. There will be a cosplay contest with great prizes, the perfect opportunity for aspiring cosplay competitors to fine-tune their looks before Planet Comicon Kansas City.

Not competing? No problem. Local celebs Tom Kane (the voice of Yoda from Star Wars: The Clone Wars), Rick Stasi (artist/writer/intellectual properties producer with credits at DC, Marvel, Disney, Warner Bros. and LucasFilms) and Darryl Woods (illustrator, cartoonist, caricature artist) will be on hand. Plus our good friends from Elite Comics will be there too. Mark your calendar and we can’t wait to see you on Friday.

RSVP on Facebook!

SPECIAL RATES: We’re offering a very special discount offer to all teachers, librarians, active duty military and first responders (fire, police, EMTs): 10% OFF ALL PLANET COMICON PASSES AND MEMBERSHIPS! For additional info, visit our online ticket page and click on “Discounted Membership” beneath “Event Information” on the left side of the page.
