Spooky Empire Brings Ultimate Horror to Orlando This Weekend

Orlando, FL September 14, 2009 – The largest gathering of horror icons and celebrities is about to take place in Orlando, FL, and it’s hosted by Spooky Empire, Inc. An excellent show is in store once again! They’ve brought together a who’s who of macabre guests to appear at Spooky Empire’s Ultimate Horror Weekend, being held this year on October 9-11, 2009 at the Wyndham Orlando Resort on International Drive.

This year Spooky Empire is proud to announce special guest, Shannen Doherty, of the TV shows “Charmed”, “Scare Tactics” and of course “Beverly Hills, 90210”. Other major guests to appear are The Masters of Horror – John Landis “American Werewolf in London”, and Herschell Gordon Lewis “2,000 Maniacs”, plus actresses Adrienne Barbeau “The Fog”, Linda Blair “The Exorcist”, and Fairuza Balk from “The Craft”. From Alfred Hitchcock’s legendary film “The Birds” Tippi Hedren will be appearing, as well as Bill Moseley and William Forsythe of Rob Zombie’s “The Devil’s Rejects”, Danny Trejo of “From Dusk Til Dawn”, Jake Busey of “The Frighteners”, Jason Mewes of “Clerks”. The voice of “Jack Skellington” Chris Sarandon will be in attendance. There will be a “Jason” Reunion with special guests Derek Mears, Kane Hodder and. C.J. Graham. Come and meet the daughter of the legendary movie monster Boris Karloff – Sara Karloff. Also meet special guest Brian Krause, best known as Leo in the “Charmed” television series and Stephen Kings “Sleepwalkers”, this is his first convention appearance. Other guests include Jason London from “Dazed and Confused”, “Creature from the Black Lagoon” Ricou Browning, and from “Night of the Creeps” Jill Whitlow and Jason Lively. There will also be a “Halloween II” reunion with the original cast. This is just the beginning!

From the popular television series, “Ghosthunters” TAPS members Steve Gonsalves and Dave Tango will appear.

There will be over twenty authors promoting their newest books and partaking in panels and Q&As, including Max Brooks, author of “World War Z”.

Some of the best artists can be found at the Ultimate Horror Weekend, including Joe Simko, Stainboy, Dirk Strangely and animator Richard Green.

This year Spooky Empire is bringing back what they are best known for – the most exciting events in Florida! Including the Freak Show Film Festival, Live Bands with performances by Ghoultown, Psychocharger, original Anthrax frontman Joey Belladonna and many more, Creepy Costume Contest, Screamin’ Ink Tattoo Room with special guest artist Paul Booth, Q&A’s and Seminars, Video Game Room with a RockBand: Battle of the Bands, Huge Dealer Room, and of course their world renowned pool parties – a must attend! The newest additions to the events – The Celebrity Poker Tournament and a Shadow Cast of Repo: The Genetic Opera hosted by cast members Terrance Zdunich, Bill Moseley, and J Larose.

Last but certainly not least…the famous Zombie Walk hosted by The Deadite Empire with a tribute to Michael Jackson’s Thriller. The walk will not only have the largest collection of the walking dead, they will also perform a reenactment of the Thriller dance with stars from the original video; Ola Ray and Cheryl Sington, as well as the director John Landis…
