On 7662 Melrose Ave in Los Angeles, CA, there is an awesome exhibit at the Suru Gallery. On July 11th, 2009, Suru hosted a gallery auction featuring painted motorcycle helmets from famous celebrities and artist, such as Linkin Park singer Mike Shinoda, Jesse James of West Coast Choppers, comic artist Jim Lee, and Eisner Award winning cover artist, James Jean.
On August 16th, the gallery will close this awesome exhibit. If you can, please go and look at the beautiful art in person. If you can’t make it, here are some photos I took of the exhibition’s opening night.
