Melissa Benoist is an actress best known for playing Kara Danvers / Supergirl across all six seasons of The CW’s Supergirl (2015–2021), appearing in 126 episodes and reprising the role across multiple Arrowverse crossovers including The Flash, Arrow, and Legends of Tomorrow. The role made her one of the most recognizable faces in the DC television universe.
Prior to Supergirl, Benoist played Marley Rose across two seasons of Glee (2012–2014) and appeared in the acclaimed film Whiplash (2014). Other notable credits include Rachel Koresh in the miniseries Waco (2018) and Patriots Day (2016). More recently she led The Girls on the Bus (2024) and The Waterfront (2025), and voiced Teela in Masters of the Universe: Revolution (2024).
