Join the Boston Comic Arts Foundation and Brookline Booksmith for an evening with ND Stevenson to celebrate his novel, Scarlet Morning, on Thursday, December 4th at 6pm! A screening of Nimona, the 2023 film adaptation of his 2015 graphic novel, will be followed by a discussion with the author.
Nimona tells the tale of a Knight (Riz Ahmed) who is framed for a crime he didn’t commit, and the only person who can help him prove his innocence is Nimona (Chloë Grace Moretz), a shape-shifting teen who might also be a monster he’s sworn to kill. Set in a techno-medieval world unlike anything animation has tackled before, this is a story about acceptance and the labels we assign to people. The film is based on the NYT best-selling graphic novel of the same name by ND Stevenson.
