The LA Comic Art Show announces a change to its guest artist lineup for the upcoming Fall 2025 event. Howard Chaykin will be unable to attend due to a scheduling conflict. In his place, the show is pleased to welcome Chuck Patton, whose career includes significant contributions to both comic books and animation.

Patton began his professional career at DC Comics, where he served as penciler on titles including Justice League of America, Green Lantern, and The Vigilante. He later transitioned to the animation industry, working in character design, storyboarding, and direction on numerous productions, among them Todd McFarlane’s Spawn, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Double Dragon, Swamp Thing, and Inspector Gadget Saves Christmas.

Patton joins previously announced guest artists Joe Rubinstein (Wolverine limited series, Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe) and Joshua Cassara (Deadpool/Wolverine, Fantastic Four).

The LA Comic Art Show will be held on Sunday, November 2, 2025, at the Hilton Garden Inn in Redondo Beach, California. Now in its sixth year, the show remains the only event in the Los Angeles area devoted exclusively to original comic art, bringing together leading dealers, collectors, and artists from across the country.
