The beloved animated series King of the Hill is making a much-anticipated return, with a special reunion and sneak peek of its revival scheduled for the 2025 ATX TV Festival in Austin, Texas. The event will take place on Friday, May 30, at the Paramount Theatre, offering fans a first look at the upcoming Hulu reboot.
Co-creators Mike Judge and Greg Daniels, along with executive producer and showrunner Saladin K. Patterson, will be joined by original voice cast members Pamela Adlon, Lauren Tom, and Toby Huss for a panel discussion. They will share behind-the-scenes stories and revisit memorable moments from the original 13-season run.
The revival picks up years after the original series, with Bobby Hill now a 21-year-old chef in Dallas. The show aims to resonate with contemporary audiences while preserving its signature humor. Although the late Johnny Hardwick, who voiced Dale Gribble, passed away in 2023, he had recorded several episodes for the new season.
Following the panel, Hulu will host a themed “Backyard BBQ” event, recreating the Hill family’s Arlen backyard with Texas-style food, drinks, games, and photo opportunities.
Season 14 of King of the Hill is set to premiere on Hulu in summer 2025. For more information and tickets to the ATX TV Festival, visit atxfestival.com.
