Charles Vess has a show of original artwork from both Peter Pan and Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell at The Arts Depot in Abingdon, VA. The exhibition opens April 16 and runs through May 31. The opening will be held on Saturday, April 19th in the presence of the artist.
‘Welcome to Neverland’ gathers illustrations from two recently illustrated, limited edition, releases of the novels Peter Pan (Conversation Tree Press), and Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell (The Folio Society). Charles Vess has a long history associated with J. M. Barrie’s Pan novels, and the latter title is one he has read and re-read many times since its initial publication 20 years ago.
