In honor of the newly announced Massachusetts Book Award for Best Graphic Novel or Memoir, the Mayor’s Office of Arts & Culture, the Massachusetts Center for the Book, and the Boston Comic Arts Foundation present a conversation about the growth, change, and future of the comics medium in the state.
In conversation with Courtney Andree (Executive Director, Massachusetts Center for the Book), Joel Christian Gill (Chair, Department of Visual Narrative at Boston University), Cagen Luse (Director, Comics in Color Festival), Shelli Paroline (Executive Director, Boston Comics Art Foundation), and author Raul the Third (The Snips) will discuss education, festivals, advocacy, and the comics creative space in Massachusetts.
