Sac Anime 2024 welcomes the Hazbin Hotel cast including Krystina Alabado (Cherri Bomb), Blake Roman (Angel Dust), Joel Perez (Valentino), Erika Henningsen (Charlie Morningstar), Amir Talai (Alastor) plus show creator Viviennne Medrano (Helluva Boss) on Sunday August 30th – September 1st, 2024 at Sacramento’s SAFE Credit Union Convention Center.
KRYSTINA ALABADO
Krystina Alabado is currently the voice of Cherri Bomb on HAZBIN HOTEL and Nefera De Nile on the reboot of MONSTER HIGH. You may recognize her voice as Veronica in the reboot of VOLTRON, Hannah in FX’s PANTHEON, Berta and Billie in Sesame Street’s MECHA BUILDERS, and Melody in SUNNY DAY. Krystina is an accomplished Broadway singer and actor, most notably playing the role of Gretchen Wieners in MEAN GIRLS the musical on Broadway, as well as AMERICAN PSYCHO and Green Day’s AMERICAN IDIOT. She was also seen in the National Broadway Tours of EVITA, AMERICAN IDIOT, and SPRING AWAKENING, as well as the Off-Broadway production of David Bowie’s final work LAZARUS, just to name a few. She can been seen on screen in Disney+’s BETTER NAME THAN EVER, and A24’s FIRST REFORMED, the TV shows GOD FRIENDED ME and TYRANT, as well the films THE ZOMBIE WEDDING and IF YOU SEE SOMETHING coming out next year. ERIKA HENNINGSEN
Erika Henningsen is a Bay Area native and is most known for originating the starring role of Cady Heron in the hit, Tony-nominated musical, Mean Girls. Other theater credits include Fantine opposite Ramin Karimloo in the recent revival of Les Miserables. Additional VO work includes: FRIGHT KREWE (Dreamworks) and BOOK OF SUMMER (Disney). Erika recurred as Young Gloria on Peacock’s acclaimed series, Girls5Eva as well as CBS All Access’ Blue Bloods, HBO’s That Damn Michael Che and Tracy Oliver’s original comedy, Harlem, for Amazon. She is a big fan of dogs that look like their owners and elderly couples who hold hands.
VIVIENNE MEDRANO
Vivienne Maree Medrano, widely recognized by her online persona Vivziepop, is a talented professional in the fields of animation, illustration, comic creation, and voice acting. She has made her mark in the industry through the creation of successful series such as “Hazbin Hotel” and its spin-off, “Helluva Boss.”
JOEL PEREZ
Joel Perez is an award-winning actor and writer living in NYC. His acting work includes Fun Home (Broadway), Kiss My Aztec! (Hartford Stage), As You Like It (The Public Theater), and Sweet Charity (New Group; Lortel Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Musical). Film work includes tick, tick… Boom! (Netflix). TV work includes Jesus Christ Superstar Live!(NBC), Person of Interest (CBS) and Odd Mom Out (Bravo). He wrote and stars in Beautiful, FL which premiered on Disney+. Other writing includes Stir,a play commission from the Old Globe Theater which was developed at The Huntington Theatre and will premiere in 2024. BLAKE ROMAN
Blake Roman is a stage and voice actor known for his performance of Angel Dust and the Egg Boiz in the Hazbin Hotel series. He also voices as one of the mariachi imps who sings The Ballad of Striker in Helluva Boss. Blake also writes and produces his own original music and recently starred in Harmony: A New Musical on Broadway.
AMIR TALAI
Amir Talai (Alastor / Tom Trench) had no idea what he was signing up for when he auditioned for Hazbin Hotel, but he is grateful for the magically hellish convergence of events that led to Vivienne happening upon a stranger’s randomly posted video of his performance of Bert Healy in Annie at the Hollywood Bowl. Outside Hazbin, Amir is known for numerous appearances in film, TV, commercials, and theater. Some of his favorites in no particular order: HIMYM, What to Expect When You’re Expecting, Campus Ladies, The Comeback, Marriage Story, The Shrink Next Door, Ghosts, LA to Vegas, Harold and Kumar Escape From Guantanamo Bay, Curb Your Enthusiasm, We Will Rock You, Merrily We Roll Along, and An Octoroon. He can often be found performing improv at the Groundlings Theatre, where he was a member of the Sunday Company. He loves poker, reading, the Golden State Warriors, his enormous dog Joey Bear, and most of all his wife Nina and his family in San Francisco. He is incredibly grateful to everyone in the Hellaverse, but especially the random dude who posted a video of him, Vivienne, Richard, and most of all the fans, whose grace and enthusiasm in welcoming him to the Hazbin family have made him feel like he’s been inappropriately touched by an angel!
