Mike Mignola Appears at L.A. Comic Art Show on Nov 5th

Nostalgic Conventions has announced Hellboy creator Mike Mignola will be the headlining guest of their L.A. Comic Art Show on Sunday, November 5th. Details at the link.

Mike Mignola is a writer and author who is best known for creating Hellboy for Dark Horse Comics. Hellboy is part of a shared universe of titles including B.P.R.D., Abe Sapien, Lobster Johnson, and various spin-offs. He has also created other supernatural and paranormal themed titles for Dark Horse including Baltimore, Joe Golem, and The Amazing Screw-On Head. Alan Moore has described Mignola’s style as “German expressionism meets Jack Kirby.” His style has also been likened to an amalgamation of Hal Foster and Alex Toth.
