Bring the whole family! Dragon Con has a whole section of programming that is specifically family-friendly. Do you have our littlest attendees in your house? Are you responsible for raising the next generation of fans? Well, we are here to make it easier by providing lots of family-friendly programming. We have a sampling of events listed below. Be sure to check the app for the most up-to-date schedule!

The Military Sci-Fi Media Track will have card games, board games, & activity stations for a chill, relaxing evening of crafting and gaming fun for all ages while supporting CURE Childhood Cancer!

Got an hour? We’ve got hands on experiments for you! Stop by the Science Track and see how many of our events you can tackle in an hour. Suitable for kids and adults alike!

Adventure into quality family time! Explore the benefits of shared storytelling and learn the basics for running your own kid-friendly tabletop RPG campaign at home with this event from Gaming.

Check out one of several drawing workshops presented by Kids Track! Paper and marker/crayon/pencils provided. Perfect for kids ages 6-13. Kids under 16 must be with a parent/guardian, children 7+ must have badges.

Make and take your own one-of-a-kind Dragon Con dragon puppet at the Puppetry Track! Fun for ALL ages! Allow 20 minutes.

Join mentors and students from Ignite Robotics, a FIRST Robotics Competition team, for part one and two sessions to learn more about competitive robotics. There will be Q&A, live demos, robot test drives, a table-top robot game to try, and info on how you can get involved in the largest robotics program for ages 4-18 in the world. See robot demos, compete in robot games, meet the people who make these bots go. Under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Dragon Con offers a unique opportunity for kids to experience art. The Dragon Con Kid’s Sketchbook is available free for kids to take to select comic and art show artist tables that have the symbol on their signage. These artists will draw in the sketchbook, leaving the kids with a unique keepsake of the event.

The Kids Character Encounter gives kids (and their parents) the chance to meet, greet, and get a photo with a wide variety of characters. The event is a perfect chance to snap pictures of your little ones without having to brave the crowded hallways of Dragon Con. Featuring a larger room, longer time, and stroller parking, the Kids Character Encounter promises to be even better than before. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Everyone 7 years old or older must have their own Dragon Con membership.
