The Cartoon Art Museum welcomes cartoonist Thien Pham who will join curator Andrew Farago for a conversation about his new graphic memoir Family Style: Memories of an American from Vietnam, published by First Second Books. The event takes place on Sunday, August 20th at 2pm in the museum’s galleries, followed by a book signing in the Bil Keane Lobby until 4pm. This event is included with admission to the Cartoon Art Museum, and is free to Cartoon Art Museum members.
Joining Pham for this event are three of his longtime friends and fellow cartoonists, also celebrating new and recent graphic novel releases. Briana Loewinsohn will be on hand to discuss her graphic memoir Ephemera, published by Fantagraphics Books; Gene Luen Yang celebrates his new First Second publication The Books of Clash Volume 1: Legendary Legends of Legendarious Achievery; and Jason Shiga will make his first North American appearance this year as he signs copies of Adventuregame Comics: Leviathan, published by Amulet Books.
