Dark Horse Comics and Tiny Onion Studios invite you to an evening of exploration of strange but true stories of aliens and the supernatural. Join us for a screening of CLOSE ENCOUNTERS OF THE THIRD KIND on Wednesday, March 15th at the Hollywood Theater in Portland, OR followed by a discussion of the new comic series Blue Book with creators James Tynion IV (Something is Killing the Children, Department of Truth) and Michael Avon Oeming (Powers, Murder Inc.), hosted by David F. Walker (Bitter Root, Naomi).
In the first Blue Book series, Tynion details Betty and Barney Hill’s infamous abduction encounter. Teaming up with Tynion on this tale are artist Michael Avon Oeming and letterer Aditya Bidikar.
A special edition of Blue Book issue #2 with a cover by Oeming will be exclusively available at this event, featuring brand-new artwork starring aliens, UFOs, and the Hollywood Theatre itself.
