Planet Comicon Kansas City, the region’s largest annual pop culture and comic book event, is set to return to the Kansas City Convention Center on March 17-19. This will be our 10th anniversary of moving to downtown Kansas City, another important moment in our pop culture-fueled mission that spans 24 years and counting.
As we put the finishing touches on our incredible celebrity, creator, and cosplay guest lineup, we’re excited that activities and events leading to our March event are ramping up, including “The Countdown to the ‘Con” with our good friends at NFM and the return of The Boozy Broomstick at the B&B Theatres Mainstreet location at Johnnie’s Jazz Bar and Grill. In addition, we’re STILL announcing guests for March and we couldn’t be more thrilled by the addition of NASA astronaut Nicole Stott.
As a flight engineer and mission specialist, Stott has spent a total of 104 days in space as a crew member on the International Space Station as well as two separate shuttle flights.
An avid artist, she’s also known as the first person to paint with watercolor in space. She will be with us for all three days!
