Scott Snyder is joining the lineup at the Washington State Summer Con this June in Puyallup. We are honored to host one of the current superstars in the comic book industry two years after we first announced his appearance. Scott has a massive resume of over 350 stories in one short decade of working in the comic book industry.
Scott Snyder has written comics for both DC and Marvel, including the bestselling series AMERICAN VAMPIRE, BATMAN and SWAMP THING, and is the author of the story collection Voodoo Heart (The Dial Press). He teaches writing at Sarah Lawrence College, NYU, and Columbia University. He lives on Long Island with his wife Jeanie, and his sons Jack and Emmett. He is a dedicated and un-ironic fan of Elvis Presley.
Shortly after American Vampire’s debut in 2010, Snyder was signed to an exclusive contract with DC Comics and became the regular writer of Detective Comics. Snyder’s presence in the Batman franchise continued with Batman: Gates of Gotham, a limited series co-written with Kyle Higgins dealing with the secret history of Gotham City.
Snyder’s run on Detective Comics ended with The New 52, where he relaunched Batman with artist Greg Capullo. Along with Batman, Snyder would also launch a new Swamp Thing title.
Snyder and Jim Lee would team up on Superman Unchained in 2013, and then later working on Batman Eternal, All-Star Batman, Batman & Robin Eternal, Dark Knights: Metal, and Justice League to name a few of his many works.
Come meet Scott Snyder at the Washington State Summer Con June 18th and 19th. He will be at his table meeting his fans, signing autographs, and speaking on a panel. Stay tuned for a great VIP option to be announced later for the Snyder Superfans. The Washington State Summer Con is June 17-19, 2022 in Puyallup. Tickets are on sale March 1st at wasummercon.com.
