Looking for more variety in your pop culture experience? Check out Pintastic New England, coming November 18-21, with rooms full of pinball machines and arcade games! Pay an admission at the door and play the games for free! Pinball games are built around pop culture themes like Spider-Man, Star Trek, The Simpsons, Batman, The Hobbit, Hot Wheels, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and more!
Rock music has inspired several game designs, and this year, the Pintastic show will be featuring the recent Guns N’ Roses “Not in This Lifetime” pinball machine from Jersey Jack Pinball! There will be a GnR tribute band, Welcome to the Jungle, playing live on Saturday night! The game’s lead designer will give a talk about how the game was created on Friday afternoon! Other game designers and artists will be at the show, and autographs are usually free!
There are vendors at Pintastic, offering art and decorations, new parts for those refurbishing games they own, video game cartridges, and of course the actual full-size games! There is entertainment for the whole family, sweet treats, seminars and panels about coin-operated games, documentary films, and little surprises in the corners and hallways! Pinball is a game, so there will be a slate of tournaments from casual to world-class competitive!
The show is centrally located in Sturbridge, Massachusetts, a mile West from Exit 6-B off I-84, right where I-84 splits off from the Mass Pike. Pintastic offers single day passes and Ultimate Experience Packages (two-day and four-day). Children under the age of 5 are admitted free.
