On the occasion of the 125th anniversary of James Thurber’s birth, Liza Donnelly, Michael Maslin, and Danny Shanahan—three of the New Yorker magazine’s longest and most beloved cartoonists—appear on Friday, October 25, 2019 at 6:30 PM for a conversation with Thurber’s most stalwart advocate, Michael J. Rosen, author of two new volumes: A Mile and a Half of Lines: The Art of James Thurber, a monograph that coincides with the largest exhibit of Thurber’s drawings and cartoons at the The Columbus Museum of Art, which includes essays by both Donnelly and Maslin. He also edited Collected Fables, a new volume of 85 Thurber fables. The evening will also include readings from Thurber, and a presentation of his groundbreaking and inimitable cartoons.
