Philadelphia Comic-Con Returns August 5th, with Ron Wilson and Paris Cullins


The Philadelphia Comic-Con returns in all its glory this Sunday, August 5th. The event will take place at the Clarion Hotel and Conference Center, 76 Industrial Highway (Route 291), Essington, PA 19029. Show hours will be 10 AM to 4 PM. Admission is only $3 per person. Kids 12 and under free with an accompanying adult. The convention takes place in the 4,500 square foot Presidential ballroom. Parking is free onsite and Septa bus route 37 stops directly in front of the hotel grounds for those who take public transportation.

Vendors from 5 states pack the show with comics from the 1940’s to this month,  original art, trading cards and gaming cards, graphic novels, action figures, Funko Pop figures and related merchandise. Special guest artist Ron Wilson hails from Maryland and is taking the two-hour trek just to meet up with his fans. Ron is a legendary Marvel comic book artist who started his work there in the mid 70’s and has been a non-stop dynamo of drawing ever since. Another special guest will be Paris Cullins who created the character Blue Devil for DC Comics. He has also drawn most DC characters in various works. There will also be a mini artist alley with other creators from the industry.
