About the Book:
Climate change has created a devastated new landscape, a science fiction world fraught with new rules and ancient gods and legends. Indigenous protagonist Maggie Hoskie hunts monsters with what seems to be supernatural talent. She reluctantly enlists the aid of an unconventional medicine man on her quest to find the truth behind disappearances in a small town. The unlikely pair encounter much more trouble than anticipated, and Maggie realizes she will have to confront her past—if she wants to survive.
