San Diego, CA (PRWEB) July 07, 2014

PSA (http://www.psacard.com), the world’s largest third-party certification company for trading cards, autographs and memorabilia, will be giving away PSA-graded samples of Game of Thrones and X-Men™ trading cards at the Comic-Con International: San Diego convention, July 24 – 27, 2014.

Also while supplies last, PSA will be giving visitors free copies of the August 2014 issue of SMR (Sports Market Report) magazine, a useful monthly publication filled with informative stories about collectibles. The magazine also features price guides for popular trading cards. The August issue has articles about Game of Thrones, X-Men, Mickey Mouse™, Zorro™ and Godzilla™ collectibles and more.

Visitors to the PSA booth (#5617) can enter for a chance to win the original acrylic-on-canvas Godzilla artwork created for the magazine’s August 2014 cover by renowned artist Arthur K. Miller. Valued at more than $3,000, the custom-framed artwork will be given away to a lucky visitor in a random drawing among those who register at the PSA booth during the convention. No purchase or payment is necessary to enter the sweepstakes. The Official Rules can be found at http://www.PSAcard.com/comiccon.

PSA/DNA autograph experts will be available at Comic-Con to authenticate autographs on-site.

“PSA-certified collectibles often sell for premium prices because of the strength and credibility of the PSA brand,” said Joe Orlando, President of PSA and Editor of SMR magazine.

“PSA/DNA uses an invisible DNA marker on certified items. It can only be seen using a calibrated laser, and counterfeiters have only a 1 in 33 trillion chance of duplicating that DNA strand,” explained Orlando.

Since 1991, PSA experts have examined and certified more than 20 million trading cards, autographs and other entertainment and sports memorabilia with an estimated cumulative value of more than $1 billion.

The Comic-Con convention will be held in the San Diego Convention Center, 111 W. Harbor Drive. For additional information about the event, go to http://www.comic-con.org.
