Press Release:
Action Lab Entertainment’s Zombie tramp is already a huge hit. The successfully relaunched grindhouse hit will begin it’s celebration tour with a signing at Sphinx Comics, Cards and Collectibles in Riverside, California on Saturday, July 19. Sphinx Comics will be selling a limited edition variant cover drawn by none other than Molly Danger creator, Jamal Igle. Zombie Tramp creator Dan Mendoza will join Igle for the signing which takes place on the stores one year anniversary. Sphinx Comics co-owner Michael Marts said “They’re pretty amazing at what they do, and we’re excited about their appearance and the controversial nature of the cover they illustrated for our store.” The signing will take place from 10am until 3 pm.
Sphinx Comics, Cards and Collectibles became the nation’s first known deaf-owned comic book storefront when it opened in 2013. The cover, which features Zombie Tramp, Janey Bell removing a deaf zombie child’s Cochlear implant, while the child signs “I love you” is as much a personal statement for them as a celebration for their one year anniversary. Sphinx Comics will sell only 1,000 limited edition copies of Zombie Tramp with this select cover featuring American Sign Language. “This is a huge deal,” Marts said. “We won’t have this cover available anywhere else, nor will it be sold after this special celebration.”
