Comic-Con International introduces COMIC-CON ANNUAL, a new upscale publication featuring original content revolving around the world of Comic-Con, WonderCon, and APE, the Alternative Press Expo. This new magazine is a 64-page, squarebound, full-color extravaganza printed on beautiful matte-finish paper. Featuring articles by noted comics journalists and historians, Comic-Con Annual contains both a look back at the 2010 Comic-Con and APE shows, and looks ahead at our 2011 events, including WonderCon.
Our trio of articles based on Comic-Con 2011 anniversaries feature Douglas Wolk on “1986: The Year Comics Grew Up,” Dan Nadel on “Fifty Years Past and Still At It: Fantastic Four #1,” and Bill Schelly on “Come Together: The Birth of Comics Fandom.” The cover feature is a long interview with the creator of The Walking Dead, Robert Kirkman, a WonderCon 2011 special guest. Comic-Con Annual continues the long tradition of publications from the country’s premier comics convention and takes the next big evolutionary step forward!
