PRESS RELEASE:

It’s official!

“Six Flags Great Comic Book Adventure” is coming!

Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, NJ has asked John Paul of www.njcomicbookshows.com (aka Pug Productions) to run a comicon for them on Sunday, May 29th. That is the full opening weekend for the park this season (limited hours of operation begin in April) … and also the opening of their Green Lantern rollercoaster.

Since it would be the first comicon at the park, they are starting this year with a one day show. It will have extended hours though… from 10:30-8:00.

There will be 100 dealer tables and dozens of creators.

While they are soliciting dealers and creators, the amount of space is finite, so if anyone is interested please send Mr. Paul an e-mail at pugprdctns@aol.com

Even though they just finalized a few days ago, they already have commitments from the following dealers (and more) for nearly fifty tables: Gary Platt, Wild Pig Comics, New World Manga, Comic Crusaders, Bob Fox, Mike Williams, Bazooka Jeff, Chris Wertz, Graffiti Comix, Adam the Comic Pimp and Rob Campitiello. Cost is $100 per 6′ table, with two park passes included for each table purchased.

Artists so far will include Lee Weeks and Fred Hembeck. They expect to wind up with a large well-rounded roster of both major and local talent.

There will be a costume contest with prizes and also a charity auction for the “Childrens Miracle Network”. More events will be added prior to the show.

Convention admission will be included with park admission for the day. There will be a link up soon to prepurchase park tickets for the day at $30 (half off the regular price of $60). Remember, this gives you full access to the park as well at a bargain price.

If any of you remember the very successful Montclair Art Museum show run by Mr. Paul a few years ago, this should blow that away!

Additional updates will be provided as more info becomes available.
