For the second time this month, pre-registration for Comic-Con International: San Diego has been shut down to the convention’s registration systems not being able to withstand the onslaught of all the fans trying to buy tickets at once.
The first attempt occurred on November 1st and quickly ended with a promise to announce a new registration date on November 8th. That announcement revealed that today, November 22nd, would be when ticket sales would resume. But once again, Comic-Con’s systems were not up to the task resulting in the following message being posted to their website:
REGISTRATION IS CLOSED!
Once more, unfortunately, there have been issues with Comic-Con registration. So we have again decided to close it down.
We are well aware that many people have taken time from work, school or other activities and others woke up very early. There really is no way to convey our level of regret for this turn of events.
We are currently researching our registration options.
