STAN LEE EXTENDS HIS APPEARANCE AT THE ALBUQUERQUE COMIC EXPO
ALBUQUERQUE, NM – June 20th, 2011 Due to overwhelming demand from the public, and the support of thousands of dedicated fans, the Albuquerque Comic Expo is pleased to announce that Stan Lee will be extending his appearance through Sunday, June 26th. Mr. Lee will continue his signing appearance that was originally scheduled for Saturday, June 25th only through Sunday, allowing the public a better chance of meeting the comic book legend.
Stan Lee is the Founder, Chairman and Chief Creative Officer of POW! Entertainment, LLC. Stan Lee’s famous co-creations include Spider-Man, The Incredible Hulk, X-Men, The Fantastic Four and Iron Man among many others. Lee, known to millions as the man who’s Super Heroes propelled Marvel Comics to its preeminent position in the comic book industry, first became publisher of Marvel Comics in 1972.
The Albuquerque Comic Expo is the Southwest’s premier comic book, pop culture, and entertainment convention. Mr. Lee will join a host of other comic book professionals and celebrities, such as LeVar Burton and Marina Sirtis (Star Trek), Peter Mayhew and Jeremy Bulloch (Star Wars), Lloyd Kaufman (Toxic Avenger), and Nicholas Brendon (Buffy the Vampire Slayer).

Toronto Comic Con is the third stop on Wizard’s 2011 North American tour, which to date has 13 events scheduled. Hours are Friday, March 18, 4 p.m. – 9 p.m.; Saturday, March 19, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m., Sunday, March 20, 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. Tickets are available in advance online at www.wizardworld.com/toronto.html at up to a 40% savings over tickets purchased at the door. Advance adult single-day tickets are $25 ($35 on site); three-day weekend tickets are $45 ($55 on site), and tickets are free for children age 10 and under when accompanied by a paid adult (limit two children per adult). The Direct Energy Centre is located at Exhibition Place in Toronto. It is Canada’s largest facility for conventions, exhibitions and events. Exhibition Place, a 192 acre waterfront campus located in downtown Toronto, is home to a variety of venues including Direct Energy Centre, Allstream Centre, Better Living Centre and the Queen Elizabeth building among various other tenant properties.

Carrie Fisher to Headline Star Wars Presence, Which Will Include Celebrity Appearances, Autographs, Exclusives and More
Norwalk, CT, March 26, 2010: Months before Star Wars Celebration V comes to Orlando, fans can feel the Force at Reed Exhibitions’ Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo (C2E2), at McCormick Place, April 16-18, 2010 in downtown Chicago. There’s a whole galaxy of fun on the exhibit hall floor, including celebrities, autographs and an exclusive collectible t-shirt that can only be found at the show – as well as a special appearance by Carrie Fisher, who portrayed Princess Leia Organa in the original Star Wars trilogy. In addition, Reed Exhibitions is producing Star Wars Celebration V – in cooperation with Lucasfilm – at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida from August 12-15.

Lucasfilm’s official presentation begins at 1:15pm on Saturday, April 17th in the IGN Theater, with Steve Sansweet exploring the past, present and future of Star Wars – from the 30th anniversary of Star Wars: Episode V The Empire Strikes Back to the exciting weekly animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars and the upcoming Star Wars Celebration V.
Sunday is Kids Day at C2E2.. Kids of all ages can learn to draw The Clone Wars characters at the Variant Stage at 1:00pm with Star Wars artists Katie Cook and Grant Gould. Drawing paper and pencils will be provided, or budding artists can bring their own sketchbooks.

First Appearance in Texas in over 20 years!
Dallas, Tx– Everything IS bigger in Texas!…Or so they say, and considering the line-up at this month’s Dallas ComiCon, we sure can’t deny that old adage–especially since artist/creator Michael Golden is heading to the Lone Star state for his first appearance there in OVER 20 years.

Scheduled for January 30-31 at the Richardson Civic Center, The Dallas ComiCon is fast becoming a true destination for fans of comics, movies, media and more!
“I am also very happy to be returning to my home state and bringing Michael with me,” says Renee Witterstaetter of Eva Ink Publishing. “We’re looking forward to showing some new items at the event and meeting some new fans and friends. I should even have a preview copy of Michael’s new sketchbook, ‘MORE Heroes and Villains.’ ”
With recent work on “Spiderman,” “Hulk,” and new pieces coming for “Planet of the Apes,” “Mouse Templar,” and much more, Michael has long been known for his storytelling work on “Spartan X,” “Bucky O’Hare,” “The ‘Nam,” “Micronauts,” “G.I. Joe,” “Doctor Strange,” “Star Wars,”….the list goes on and on! In fact, be looking for announcements about his upcoming storytelling class in the near future–in a city near you.
“I’m designing this course to be relevant for writers, artists or anyone interested in crafting an effective tale,” says Golden about the upcoming workshop.

To mark his return to Texas in the meantime, Golden will be available both days of the show to sign, and do limited sketching during convention hours. He’ll also be debuting three new art prints added to his portfolio just in time for DCC, as well as showcasing two art books “Excess: The Art of Michael Golden,” from Vanguard Productions and “Michael Goldens: Heroes and Villains” sketchbook from Eva Ink Publishing.
