The Cartoon Art Museum welcomes Jake S. Friedman for a presentation and book signing celebrating his latest book, The Disney Revolt: The Great Labor War of Animation’s Golden Age, on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at 2pm in the Cartoon Art Museum’s Drawing Room.
Author and animation historian Jake S. Friedman takes a journey through the Disney studio in the 1930s, during the creation of its core characters and its rise to fame, before labor unrest disrupted this magical kingdom. It’s an essential piece of Disney history that has been unreported for 80 years… until now. The presentation will be followed by Q&A and a book signing. This event is free and open to the public.
