Historical examples, active discussions, and critical feedback will take place alongside practical studio work. The course will culminate in a mini-expose of our work throughout the week.
**This course is designed as part one of a two week comics immersive, though each week may be taken individually; second part held during the week of July 8-12. Minimum age is 16 years.

You made a comic book, so now what? Developing a story and making art for a comic is only half the battle. What you do with your creation after it’s made is what sets apart the pretenders from the contenders. This course will give you and your book a chance to get noticed in a crowd. We will discuss effective cover design, production, promotion, distribution and networking. Learn how to take your project from art desk to convention floor, from your head to their hands. Through first-hand accounts, contemporary examples, studio work and group discussion we’ll brainstorm the best plan of action to bring you goals closer to comic book reality. The course will culminate in a mini-expose of our work throughout the week.
**This course is designed as part two of a two week comics immersive, though each week may be taken individually; first part held during the week of June 24-28. Minimum age for the course is 16 years.

Last year Boston Comic Con saw the explosive debut of ZombieBomb! Presents: The NEW Adventures of SUPER INGA, garnering rave reviews and selling out its first printing. Super Inga even won Best Independent Comic in the ComicCon costume contest! The book was originally intended to be a “one off” title, but with that kind of enthusiastic response, calling it quits just wasn’t in the cards for Super Inga.
The ZombieBomb! crew reunites with Zombastic Publications to pick up where the first book left off. Fans will be glad to know that artist/creator Haig Demarjian has carefully crafted a gripping tale that adds more wild characters and sets the stage for further adventures. Again, a stellar crew of guest artists pitch in, stuffing this book with a smorgasbord of killer visuals — stunning colors by Sara Robertson, and additional art by acclaimed West Coast underground skatepunk Chris “Tallboy” Coulon, Geoff Mosher (of Mondo Chachi fame… and also Baron Nefarious in Die You Zombie Bastards!), Silver-Age veteran Gary John Reynolds as well as many more. Top it off with a to-die-for cover painting by award-winning illustrator David Ferriera, and a Boston Con exclusive variant cover by ZombieBomb!’s own Adam Miller.
The book debuts exclusively at Boston Comic Con, April 20 and 21. Visit the Zombastic/ZombieBomb! booth to meet ZombieBomb! creator Adam Miller along with the man behind Super Inga, Haig Demarjian, infamous for his role in the creation of Die You Zombie Bastards!, the locally-made independent cult feature film that started it all.
