ANIMATION SUPERCON 2009 announced for Oct. 2-4, 2009
Featuring cast reunions from Futurama and Pinky & The Brain
Miami, FL – Anime Supercon (ASC) is now Animation Supercon, as it returns for a 4th year to an all new, bigger & better location; the Doubletree Miami Airport Hotel and Convention Center. Animation Supercon will replace Anime Supercon as the shows focus shifts to encompass the entire animation world, and not just Japanese anime. Set for October 2-4, Animation Supercon is a three day festival and convention dedicated to Animation, Cartoons, Anime, Comic Books and Video Games.
Animation Supercon will feature celebrity guests, artists, animators, writers, vendors, Q&A’s, parties, costume contests, anime programming, cosplay, panels, photo shoots, live music, video games and more as it takes over 100,000+ square feet of the Doubletree Miami Airport Hotel and Convention Center. This years event will also host the inaugural Supercon International Animation Film Festival (SIAFF) which will feature animated films and shorts from across the globe. The event kicks off at 3:30PM, Friday, October 2 and the fun continues almost around the clock until 6:00PM, Sunday, October 4.
Over the weekend-long event, attendees will have a chance to meet and converse with celebrity guests and artists from all corners of the industry. Our initial guest list includes two very special cast reunions from Futurama and Pinky & The Brain. Our first round of guests includes:

General Admission (3) Day Weekend Pass:

General Admission at the door is $40 for a weekend pass. Single day passes will be $20 for Friday or Sunday and $25 for Saturday. Children under 10 receive free admission. Parents, Police officers, Fire Fighters and Military receive a $10 discount.

FINAL GUEST LIST ANNOUNCED FOR FLORIDA SUPERCON: JUNE 5-7, 2009
Florida Supercon returns in 2009! Now in it’s 4th year, FSC once again moves into a larger venue as the three day festival continues to grow. This year’s event will take place June 5, 6 & 7, 2009 at the Doubletree Miami Mart Airport Hotel and Convention Center in Miami, FL. The three day festival will take place in the convention center’s west hall (50,000 sq. feet) and the convention centers entire second floor (over 35,000 sq. feet) making this the largest genre event to ever hit South Florida. The show will include celebrity guests, artists, writers, vendors, industry guests, Q&A’s, parties, comic books, costume contests, anime programming, manga, cosplay, workshops, panels, cosplay photo shoots, dance parties, console gaming, LAN gaming, tabletop gaming, collectible card gaming, tournaments and more!

Bruce Campbell: Legendary Actor, Writer, Director and Producer. Bruce is best known for his starring role as Ash in the Evil Dead trilogy (Evil Dead, Evil Dead 2 and Army of Darkness). He currently stars as Sam Axe in Burn Notice. Bruce has an array of impressive credits which include: The Adventures of Brisco County Jr., My Name is Bruce, Bubba Ho-Tep, Sky High, Jack of All Trades, Xena: Warrior Princess, Spider-Man, Spider-Man 2, Spider-Man 3, Aqua Teen Hunger Force: The Movie, Man with the Screaming Brain and Congo. Dick Giordano:When one mentions the legends that have shaped the history of the comics industry, rest assured that high on that list will be the name of Dick Giordano. Since 1951, Dick Giordano has worked his pencil and ink magic for a variety of publishers including Charlton Comics, DC Comics, Marvel Comics, Dell, American Comics, Valiant, Treasure Chest and Junior Life. In addition to his considerable freelance contributions, Giordano acted as Editor-In-Chief for Charlton Comics, during which he oversaw the creation of their most memorable characters including such classics as The Blue Beetle and Captain Atom. As Executive Editorial Director of DC Comics, Dick was the guiding force behind such award-winning series as Alan Moore’s WATCHMEN, Frank Miller’s DARK KNIGHT RETURNS and many, many more revolutionary concepts. His creative vision at DC Comics resulted in raising the bar for creativity throughout the entire comics industry.
