Planet Comicon will be better and bigger than ever this year. We have expanded the exhibit hall for even more dealers, artists, celebrities, cosplay, and special attractions. Planet Comicon will be held March 13-15, 2015 at Kansas City’s Bartle Hall. Admission packages are now available for purchase at the link…

We’ve announced great guests with many more announcements to come. You’ll meet Hollywood stars including Cary Elwes (The Princess Bride), Stephen Amell (Arrow), John Barrowman ( Arrow, Torchwood, Doctor Who), Laura Vandervoort (Smallville), Sam Witwer (Being Human), Robbie Amell (The Tomorrow People, The Flash), Eve Myles (Doctor Who, Torchwood) and many others.

We also have a great array of top comics creators on the slate. So far, we’ve confirmed Tim Bradstreet (Punisher), Stan Sakai (Usagi Yojimbo), Katie Cook (My Little Pony), Don Rosa (Uncle Scrooge), Dan Parent (Archie) and local favorites including Jason Aaron (Thor), Phil Hester (Green Arrow), Rick Burchett (Lady Sabre).

Tickets Now In Stores!
Tickets to the 2014 Emerald City Comicon are now on sale in stores. And while you’re buying, don’t forget that we’ve expanded Friday into a full day of fun (10am-7pm). More than half of the show’s tickets have already been sold, so stop waiting. Get your ticket for all three days right now! [Tickets Are On Sale Here]

A Reminder from the Committee for Line Reductions
The Committee for Line Reductions would like to note that starting this year, if you buy your ticket online, we’re mailing your badge to you about a month before the show. If you buy your ticket at your local comic book store, you’ll exchange that ticket for a badge at that same store anytime in March. Either way, you won’t need to wait in a line to trade in your ticket at the show! This has been a reminder from the Committee for Line Reductions.

True Blood Star Bites Into Boston Comic Con 2013

Boston Comic Con is excited to welcome Kristin Bauer of the hit HBO TV series True Blood to the rescheduled show on August 3-4, 2013 at the Seaport World Trade Center! Kristin, a main cast member of the show, plays the part of the vampire Pam. Kristin is also known for her role as Maleficent in the hit ABC TV series Once Upon a Time. She will be on hand both days of the convention to sign autographs and meet her fans! Details on signing schedule, prices, etc to be announced.

Boston Comic Con thanks all our fans who supported us by demonstrating the highest degree of patience and  understanding imaginable during a very challenging time for all of us. And we want to reward you, our fans, by putting on an even bigger and better show than originally planned! The new, rescheduled date will be AUGUST 3-4, 2013!!

We’re moving! The Seaport World Trade Center is the new home of Boston Comic Con! It features more parking as well as access to the Silver Line on Boston’s historic waterfront.

We have reconfirmed our major comic book creator guests (who have all been wonderfully supportive of us).  Let’s welcome back… George Perez, Mike Mignola, Mark Bagley, Bill Willingham, Tony Daniel, Ed McGuinness, Tim Sale, Steve Niles, Colleen Doran, Aaron Lopresti, Don Rosa, William Stout, Amy Reeder, David Mack, Mike Choi, and Joe Eisma!  And we’re still re-confirming!

And guess what… we are adding even more guests as the support for Boston Comic Con keeps pouring in from comic book creators all over the country. Let’s give a Boston welcome to… Dan Didio, Phil Jimenez, Brian Azzarello, Dave Johnson, Dan Panosian, Cully Hamner, Barry Kitson, Paul Gulacy, James O’Barr, Howard Chaykin, and Michael Golden! Bill Willingham, Steve Niles & More Guests Join Boston Comic Con 2013

Boston Comic Con is happy to announce that Bill Willingham, Mike Choi, Steve Niles, Eric Basaldua, and Joe Quinones are the latest additions for the 2013 show which will be held on April 20-21! Previously announced guests include George Pérez, Mike Mignola, Sergio Aragones, Amanda Conner, Mark Bagley, Don Rosa, Jimmy Palmiotti, Amy Reeder, and many more!

Eric Basaldua broke into comics in 2000 working for Top Cow Productions with founder Marc Silvestri. He has drawn many fan favorite titles including Hunter-Killer, Tomb Raider, The Darkness, Witchblade, and Grimm Fairy Tales. Most recently his sexy women have graced covers for Image, Marvel, Zenescope, and more.

Mike Choi is a comic book artist known for his work on books such as Witchblade, X-23, Uncanny X-Men, and X-Force. He has worked for Top Cow, Marvel, and DC Comics producing covers for many top selling titles, including Dark Avengers, Cloak and Dagger, Dark Wolverine, Green Lantern, Vampirella, Cyberforce / Hunter-Killer, and War of Kings.

Joe Quinones is a Boston local artist who is on the rise in comics. A graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design, he worked on Teen Titans Go! before being hand-picked to draw the Green Lantern strip in Wednesday Comics. Recently his covers have graced titles for all the major companies including Hack/Slash, Star Wars: Knight Errant, and Amazing Spider-Man.

Steve Niles is a writer of comics, novels and films. Best known for works such as 30 Days of Night, Criminal Macabre, Simon Dark, Mystery Society, and Batman: Gotham County Line, he is credited among other contemporary writers as bringing horror comics back to prominence. His currently working on Frankenstein: Alive! Alive! with Bernie Wrightson.

Bill Willingham is the creator of the immensely popular title Fables, a re-imagining of fairy tales characters in the modern world, as well as its spin-offs Jack of Fables and Fairest. His career began in the 80s writing and drawing Elementals for Comico. He has also written for several other titles including Robin, Shadowpact, Angel, Proposition Player, and Justice Society of America.
