Be sure to join us at BICLM on Friday, September 29 from 6-8pm to kick off the weekend with our annual CXC Opening Reception! Explore the museum, enjoy refreshments, and cheer on your cartoonist colleagues as we give out our annual awards at 6:45pm in the lobby. Visitors can peruse an open-house display of materials in the reading room, and view our current exhibit in the galleries: Facing Feelings: The Art of Raina Telgemeier.
On Saturday, September 30 at 8pm, head down to the Columbus College of Art and Design (CCAD) for an evening with mangaka Keito Gaku and queer comics icon Justin Hall. Gaku is a Tokyo-based manga artist and transgender man best known for Boys Run the Riot, and will be making his debut appearance in the United States at CXC!
