PORTLAND, Ore., January 10, 2014 – A world-class roster of more than 150 comics artists and writers, including notables Mike Zeck (“Spider-Man,” “Punisher”), Jim Cheung (“Avengers vs. X-Men,” “Iron Man”), Rafa Sandoval (“Catwoman,” “Ultimate Hawkeye”), Neal Adams (“Batman,” “Green Lantern”) and Humberto Ramos (“Amazing Spider-Man,” “Impulse”), will be on hand at Wizard World Portland Comic Con, January 24-26 at the Oregon Convention Center. A total of 15 winners of the prestigious Eisner Award are among the scheduled attendees.

Fans can meet the creators, commission original art, have pieces signed, and attend many programming sessions featuring the leaders in the comics industry all weekend.

In addition to Hall of Famers Adams and Stan Lee, Eisner winners on hand at Portland Comic Con include Adams, Laura Allred (“Madman,” “Daredevil”), Mike Allred (“Thor,” “X-Men”), Kurt Busiek (“Astro City,” “JLA”), Jonathan Case (“Dear Creature,” “Green River Killer”), Tyler Crook (“B.P.R.D. Hell on Earth: Monsters,” “Petrograd”), Steve Lieber (“Detective Comics,” “Hawkman”), Kevin Maguire (“Justice League,” “Batman Confidential”), George Pérez (“Superman,” “Crisis on Infinite Earths”), Eric Powell (“The Goon,” “Hellboy”), Paul Tobin (“Bandette,” “LotDK”), Matt Wagner (“Grendel,” “Batman”), Shannon Wheeler (“Too Much Coffee Man,” “Oil and Water” and Douglas Wolk (“Judge Dredd: Mega City Two,” “Reading Comics”). Ten other Eisner nominees will also dot the star-studded Artist Alley.

Other top creators scheduled to appear are David Marquez (“Ultimate Spider-Man,” “Fantastic Four: Season One”), Jim Valentino (“Image Comics,” “ShadowHawk”), “Zombie King” Arthur Suydam (“Marvel Zombies,” “Army of Darkness”), Michael Golden (“Batman,” “Hulk”), Greg Horn (“Marvel: War of Heroes” iPhone app, “Walt Disney”) and Tyler Kirkham (“Action Comics,” “Superboy”).

Adams has also drawn an exclusive variant cover of Miracleman #1. Marvel Comics and Wizard World have announced a program by which VIP attendees will receive a free copy of the color version (limited to 3,000 copies), and the black & white version will be available for sale at the Wizard World Store on the convention floor (limited to 2,500 copies).

Norman Reedus of “The Walking Dead,” “Star Trek’s” “Captain Kirk” William Shatner, WWE® Superstar CM Punk®, Ron Perlman of Hellboy and many other celebrities will attend the first of 16 events currently scheduled in the 2014 series produced by Wizard World, Inc. ‘Eleventh Doctor’ In ‘Doctor Who’ Series To Make First Wizard World Appearance At Ernest N. Morial Convention Center

Matt Smith the 11th DoctorNEW ORLEANS, January 6, 2014 – Matt Smith, who recently completed an acclaimed four-year run as the 11th incarnation of the Doctor in the landmark British television series “Doctor Who,” will make his first Wizard World appearance at New Orleans Comic Con on February 7-8. Smith will greet fans, sign autographs, pose for photo ops and conduct an interactive Q&A during the event, held at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center.

Smith began his acting career on stage, appearing in various popular London theatrical performances before landing the coveted role in “Doctor Who” in 2010.  He received a BAFTA Award nomination in 2011 and his final episode, on Christmas Day, was BBC America’s largest audience ever, attesting to both the popularity of the series in America and Smith’s success in the role.

“Doctor Who” fandom is on full display at Wizard World shows.  Fans of the series, which celebrated its 50th Anniversary with a highly-rated program that was simulcast by BBC America at Austin Comic Con, cosplay as numerous characters as well as the TARDIS, the space-time vehicle used in the show.

NEW YORK, January 2, 2014 – Marvel Comics and Wizard World, Inc. (OTCBB: WIZD) have announced a program by which VIP attendees at each of the 16 scheduled 2014 Wizard World Comic Con pop culture conventions will receive exclusive variant covers of the best Marvel titles, continuing with Miracleman #2 at New Orleans Comic Con (Feb. 7-9). The limited-edition book, with cover illustrated by comics legend and Eisner Award Hall of Famer Neal Adams, features an interlocking cover with Adams’ Miracleman #1 from Portland Comic Con (Jan. 24-26), and will be available in both color and black & white sketch editions.

The colored version of Miracleman #2 will be limited to 3,000 copies and provided free at registration to all Wizard World New Orleans Comic Con VIP attendees, including any celebrity VIP packages. The Black & White sketch version is limited to just 2,500 copies and will be available for sale at the Wizard World Store on the convention floor. Quantities per purchase may be limited.

Marvel Will Offer Exclusive Books At All 16 Wizard World Shows In 2014 Beginning With ‘Miracleman #1′ At Portland Comic Con, January 24-26, ‘Miracleman #2′ At New Orleans Comic Con, February 7-9; VIP Attendees Receive Free Color Version; B&W Limited Edition Available For Purchase

NEW YORK, December 17, 2013 – Marvel Comics and Wizard World, Inc. (OTCBB: WIZD) today announced a program by which VIP attendees at each of the 16 scheduled 2014 Wizard World Comic Con pop culture conventions will receive exclusive variant covers of the best Marvel titles, beginning with Miracleman #1 at Portland Comic Con (January 24-26) and Miracleman #2 at New Orleans Comic Con (Feb. 7-9). The first two limited-edition books, with covers illustrated by comics legend and Eisner Award Hall of Famer Neal Adams, feature interlocking covers, and will be available in both color and black & white sketch editions.

The colored version of Miracleman #1 will be limited to 3,000 copies and provided free at registration to all Wizard World VIP attendees, including any celebrity VIP packages. The Black & White sketch version is limited to just 2,500 copies and will be available for sale at the Wizard World Store on the convention floor. Quantities per purchase may be limited.

Adams is scheduled to be on site at each event to sign copies (autograph fees may apply). Leading professional comic grader CGC will also be on hand to accept books for grading and Signature Series.

Wizard World, Inc. Announces Third Quarter 2013 Results

NEW YORK & LOS ANGELES, November 22, 2013 – Wizard WorldThird Quarter Summary

Convention revenue was $4,113,181 for the three months ended September 30, 2013, as compared to $2,792,907 for the comparable period ended September 30, 2012, an increase of $1,320,274 year over year or over 47%. The Company operated two events during the period ended September 30, 2013, as compared to two events during the comparable period ended September 30, 2012.

Average revenue generated per event in the third quarter of 2013 was $2,056,591 as compared to $1,396,454 during 2012. This is the third full quarter in which revenue per event rose by more than 47% on year over year basis.

Operating expenses for the three months ended September 30, 2013, was $928,776, as compared to $734,087 for the three months ended September 30, 2012. The increase is primarily attributable to an increase in salaries and employee headcount as well as share based payments that were made to the Chief Executive Officer upon committing to work for the Company.

Other income (expense) for the three months ended September 30, 2013, was $(2,225,570), as compared to $1,057,744 for the three months ended September 30, 2012. The decrease is primarily attributable to the loss on the fair value of the Company’s derivative liabilities.

Income from operations for the three months ended September 30, 2013, was $1,096,824 as compared to $646,543 for the three months ended September 30, 2012.

Net income (loss) attributable to common shareholder for three months ended September 30, 2013, was $(1,215,115) or loss per share of $ (0.03), as compared to $1,233,141 or income per share of $0.04, for the three months ended September 30, 2012.

Effective August 21, 2013, our Series A Preferred Shareholders converted all outstanding shares of Series A Cumulative Convertible Preferred Stock into approximately 9.5 million shares of the Company’s common stock. We issued approximately 1.6 million shares of common stock as payment for accrued and unpaid dividends related to such conversion. In addition, all outstanding Series A Common Stock Purchase Warrants were exchanged for approximately 4.0 million shares of common stock.

Net cash provided by (used in) operating activities for the nine months ended September 30, 2013 and 2012, was $1,306,712 and $310,949, respectively. The net income (loss) attributable to common shareholder for the nine months ended September 30, 2013 and 2012, was $(0.09) and $(0.08), respectively. The Company’s cash provided by (used in) operations increased primarily due to operating profitable events.

The Company believes that our existing available cash, along with our cash flows from operations will enable the Company to meet the working capital requirements for at least 12 months. The estimated working capital requirement for the next 12 months is $2,520,000 with an estimated burn rate of $210,000 per month. The Company continues to explore potential expansion opportunities in the industry in order to boost sales while leveraging distribution systems to consolidate lower costs.
