Tony Hale (Veep, Arrested Development) appears at Vroman’s Bookstore to present and sign Archibald’s Next Big Thing on Sunday October 26, 2014 at 1:00 PM!

Press Release:

Archibald’s Next Big Thing is the extraordinary adventure of an extra-ordinary chicken named Archibald Struer. His three brothers and one sister have each found their “Big Thing” (including a brother chicken who impressively grows human hair) and the only Big Thing Archibald has planned is what he’s eating for lunch. This all changes when he receives a mysterious blue card that reads “YOUR BIG THING IS HERE!” So, accompanied by a friendly bee named BEE, Archibald takes the card and heads out on a fantastic journey in hopes of finding his NEXT BIG THING. It’s a story that reminds us that, while looking for the next big thing isn’t a bad thing, we should always remember that big and beautiful things are all around us…right NOW.

About Rain of the Ghosts:
Growing up in the tropical paradise of the Ghost Keys, a (fictional) chain of islands near the Bermuda Triangle, should be paradise, but for twelve-year-old Rain Cacique, it feels more like a life sentence that dooms her to a future of bending over backwards for ungrateful tourists. Her beloved grandfather, ‘Bastian, is the bright spot in her world, so when he passes away, Rain immediately attributes her newfound ability to see dead people (including the spirit of her grandfather as a young fighter pilot) to grief. Eventually, however, ‘Bastian is able to convince her that he is really there, that she needs to help him put other spirits to rest.  Together, they discover a hidden world of mystery and adventure.

CA – Big Bang Theory Star Signing

Mayim Bialik signs at Vroman’s Bookstore on Thursday March 15, 2012 at 7:00pm.

Mayim Bialik was the child star of the popular 1990s TV sitcom Blossom, but she didn’t follow the typical child-star trajectory. Instead, Mayim got her PhD in neuroscience from UCLA, married her college sweetheart, and had two kids. Then she did what many new moms do—she read a lot of books, talked with other parents, and she soon started questioning a lot of the conventional wisdom she heard about raising a child. That’s when she turned to attachment parenting. For Mayim, attachment parenting’s natural, child-led approach not only felt right emotionally, it made sense intellectually and instinctually, allowing her to relax into her role as a mother instead of following some rigid parenting script. Drawing on both her experience as a mother and her scientific background, Mayim presents the major tenets and core principles of attachment parenting and how it has become the guiding principle for her family.
