NE – Gene Luen Yang Signing

Join the UNO School of the Arts in welcoming graphic novel author and comic artist Gene Luen Yang to the UNO campus on Thursday April 14, 2016 at 6:30 PM.

Yang has penned such beloved and critically acclaimed graphic novels as “American Born Chinese,” “Boxers & Saints,” and “Animal Crackers,” as well as working on popular comic series including “Superman” and “Avatar: The Last Airbender.” Yang was also recently named the fifth National Ambassador for Young People’s Literature by the Library of Congress, Every Child A Reader, and the Children’s Book Council.

Yang will be giving a lecture on his experiences, as well doing a Q & A session and book signing. Books and comics will be available for purchase, provided by Legend Comics and Coffee. The event is free and open to the public. Free parking will be available in Lot T (lower level of East Parking Garage) beginning at 5:30 P.M.
