SPOOKY EMPIRE BRINGS MAY-HEM TO ORLANDO, FLORIDA
Orlando, FL – Spooky Empire wanted to get the party started early in 2011. So they have put together one hell of a second show, coming in May of 2011. They are ready to rock the doors off the Wyndham Orlando Resort with sickest guest lineup on the convention scene so far! This event, appropriately called Spooky Empire’s May-Hem, makes its home at the Wyndham Orlando Resort on May 27-29, 2011. Spooky Empire is fast becoming one of the most popular horror event companies in the U.S. with fans coming from all over the world to attend. Last years October show was monstrous, with the most fans in attendance so far. So make your Memorial Day weekend plans now and come on out!
Their amazing guest line up includes a 30th Anniversary Reunion of The Evil Dead! Including horror icon Bruce Campbell, best known for his roles in The Evil Dead films, Army of Darkness, Xena, Bubba Ho-Tep, My Name is Bruce, and his newest project, Burn Notice, the #1 rated series on cable. Bruce will be joined by The Ladies of the Evil Dead; Betsy Baker, Ellen Sandweiss, and Sarah York, as well as Ted Raimi, Hal Delrich, and Special FX artist Tom Sullivan. From the Army of Darkness film, Timothy Quill will be appearing and from Evil Dead II, Danny Hicks.
That’s not the only cast lineup at May-Hem. For all of you Boondock Saints fans, come out and meet the stars, Sean Patrick Flanery, Norman Reedus and David Della Rocco. Sean Patrick Flanery is known for many other films and television projects including Powder, The Young Indiana Jones, The Dead Zone and Saw 3D. Norman Reedus is most currently starring in the AMC series, The Walking Dead.
Joining Norman Reedus “Daryl Dixon” for a Walking Dead cast gathering will be Jon Bernthal “Shane Walsh”, Chandler Riggs “Carl Grimes”, Keisha Tillis “Morgan’s Wife”, Addy Miller “Little Girl Walker”, and Melissa Cowan “Bicycle Zombie”.
Added to this already incredible lineup is Alex Winter best known for his part in The Lost Boys and even better as “Bill S. Preston, Esq.” in Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure. Cult Fiction icon Bob Wall from legendary Bruce Lee films including “Enter the Dragon” will be making a rare convention appearance as well as the beautiful Diora Baird, one of Maxim’s Hot 100 of 2007 and 2008. She has starred in films such as The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning and Night of the Demons. Michael Kenworthy “Jesse Wilson” in Return of the Living Dead:II” will be in attendance as well as Erin Grey of Buck Rogers fame, as well as Jason Goes to Hell and of course Silver Spoons.
Last but certainly not least, the most recent and most exciting addition to May-Hem, Anthony Michael Hall. His long list of unforgettable projects spans 3 decades! Including The Breakfast Club, Sixteen Candles, Weird Science, Johnny Be Good, National Lampoons Vacation, Edward Scissorhands, the television series The Dead Zone, and the list goes on. Orlando, FL – They’ve done it again! Spooky Empire has taken what was already an amazing celebrity guest lineup and made it even more impressive with the addition of some of the best guests the horror world has to offer. This year’s event returns to the Wyndham Orlando Resort on October 8-10, 2010. Spooky Empire’s Ultimate Horror Weekend is fast becoming one of the most popular horror events in U.S. with fans coming from all over the world to attend. Last years show was monstrous, with the most fans in attendance so far, reaching record breaking numbers.
In addition to the first guest announcements, (including a Nightmare on Elm Street reunion featuring the gloved one himself, Robert Englund “Freddy Krueger”, John Saxon, Heather Langenkamp, and Amanda Wyss), will be the Master of Horror, Legendary Director John Carpenter – best known for his many horror/sci-fi films including “Halloween”, “Christine”, “The Fog”, and “Escape From New York” and The Mistress of the Dark herself – Elvira.
Other guests just announced are Tom Towles, best known for his role as “George Wydell” in “House of 1,000 Corpses”, Ken Sagoes who played “Roland Kincaid” in “A Nightmare on Elm Street 3:Dream Warriors” and “A Nightmare on Elm Street 4:The Dream Master”, Nivek Ogre, original member of the band Skinny Puppy who most recently played the part of “Pavi Largo” in the rock-opera “Repo:The Genetic Opera”. Some returning guests are Kane Hodder “Friday the 13th VII & VIII”, Mike Christopher a/ka/ Hare Krishna Zombie from “Dawn of the Dead”, and paranormal favorites Steve Gonsalves and Dave Tango from GhostHunters and GhostHunters Academy. They will all be joining some already established guests including horror’s favorite mother Betsy Palmer “Mrs. Vorhees” and Adrienne King from “Friday the 13th”, Danny Trejo of films such as “The Devil’s Rejects” “From Dusk Til Dawn”and the soon to be released “Predators”. It’s a family affair with father and son duo Jake Busey “The Frighteners” and “Starship Troopers” who is making a return appearance, and his dad the legendary Gary Busey star of over a hundred films including “Point Break” and “Silver Bullet”. The master of special FX, Tom Savini “Dawn of the Dead” will be there as well, plus more to be announced over the next few months!

Orlando, FL September 14, 2009 – The largest gathering of horror icons and celebrities is about to take place in Orlando, FL, and it’s hosted by Spooky Empire, Inc. An excellent show is in store once again! They’ve brought together a who’s who of macabre guests to appear at Spooky Empire’s Ultimate Horror Weekend, being held this year on October 9-11, 2009 at the Wyndham Orlando Resort on International Drive.
This year Spooky Empire is proud to announce special guest, Shannen Doherty, of the TV shows “Charmed”, “Scare Tactics” and of course “Beverly Hills, 90210″. Other major guests to appear are The Masters of Horror – John Landis “American Werewolf in London”, and Herschell Gordon Lewis “2,000 Maniacs”, plus actresses Adrienne Barbeau “The Fog”, Linda Blair “The Exorcist”, and Fairuza Balk from “The Craft”. From Alfred Hitchcock’s legendary film “The Birds” Tippi Hedren will be appearing, as well as Bill Moseley and William Forsythe of Rob Zombie’s “The Devil’s Rejects”, Danny Trejo of “From Dusk Til Dawn”, Jake Busey of “The Frighteners”, Jason Mewes of “Clerks”. The voice of “Jack Skellington” Chris Sarandon will be in attendance. There will be a “Jason” Reunion with special guests Derek Mears, Kane Hodder and. C.J. Graham. Come and meet the daughter of the legendary movie monster Boris Karloff – Sara Karloff. Also meet special guest Brian Krause, best known as Leo in the “Charmed” television series and Stephen Kings “Sleepwalkers”, this is his first convention appearance. Other guests include Jason London from “Dazed and Confused”, “Creature from the Black Lagoon” Ricou Browning, and from “Night of the Creeps” Jill Whitlow and Jason Lively. There will also be a “Halloween II” reunion with the original cast. This is just the beginning!
From the popular television series, “Ghosthunters” TAPS members Steve Gonsalves and Dave Tango will appear.
There will be over twenty authors promoting their newest books and partaking in panels and Q&As, including Max Brooks, author of “World War Z”.
Some of the best artists can be found at the Ultimate Horror Weekend, including Joe Simko, Stainboy, Dirk Strangely and animator Richard Green.
This year Spooky Empire is bringing back what they are best known for – the most exciting events in Florida! Including the Freak Show Film Festival, Live Bands with performances by Ghoultown, Psychocharger, original Anthrax frontman Joey Belladonna and many more, Creepy Costume Contest, Screamin’ Ink Tattoo Room with special guest artist Paul Booth, Q&A’s and Seminars, Video Game Room with a RockBand: Battle of the Bands, Huge Dealer Room, and of course their world renowned pool parties – a must attend!
