MomoCon 2018 Welcomes Further Guests

MomoCon is happy to welcome voice actors Richard Epcar, Bex Taylor-Klaus, Chloé Hollings, and Doug Cockle on May 24-27, 2018!

Legendary Actor Richard Epcar is one of the hardest working men in show business, having voiced over 500 characters in Games, Animation and Anime. Best known as the voice of Batou in Ghost in the Shell, The Joker in several Batman games including Injustice: Gods Among Us (Fighting Game of the Year!) Raiden in Mortal Kombat, Ansem in Kingdom Hearts, and now Akuma in Street Fighter V!

You may have first seen Bex Taylor-Klaus in her breakout role as a tough street kid named Bullet in season 3 of AMC’s The Killing, CW fans may know her for her role as Sin on Arrow and MTV fans may know her as Audrey on the TV show Scream and of course, animated fans know her best as the voice of Pidge on Dreamwork’s highly acclaimed reboot of Voltron: Legendary Defender! She joins Voltron castmates Kimberly Brooks and Josh Keaton at MomoCon 2018.

Doug Cockle is an actor best known for his performance as Geralt of Rivia in The Witcher video game series. Doug has been the voice of Geralt since the series began in 2007 and has won and been nominated for a number of awards for this work, including the prestigious BAFTA in the United Kingdom. Doug has worked extensively in the video games industry and has lent his voice to many, many other games including The Division, Quantum Break, and Horizon Zero Dawn.

Chloé Hollings is a French, British and Australian actress, voice-artist, writer and singer. She was born in Paris, France, but spent her early years running on the sunny beaches of Melbourne, Australia. These two extraordinary yet very different backgrounds have made her who she is: a versatile artist, thirsty for knowledge, who seeks beauty in everything. As an actress she’s mainly worked in the theatre but is better known for her appearance in French TV show Versailles, Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets by Luc Besson, and for giving a voice to the well-known Overwatch character: Widowmaker. She is also the author of an anti-diet memoir that was released in France in 2016. She is currently developing two literary projects.

Voltron Team Roars Into WonderCon 2017

Join Kyle Anderson of Nerdist as he leads a conversation on April 1st at 5:30 PM at WonderCon with DreamWorks Voltron: Legendary Defender Executive Producer Joaquim Dos Santos, Co-Executive Producer Lauren Montgomery, Story Editor Tim Hedrick, cast members Jeremy Shada (Lance), Josh Keaton (Shiro), Bex Taylor-Klaus (Pidge), Tyler Labine (Hunk), and Kimberly Brooks (Allura) who will be highlighting their favorite season 2 moments and will take part in an extended Q&A! Fans in attendance will each receive a limited edition lithograph (pictured).

Deadpool’s Brianna Hildebrand at Great Philadelphia Comic Con

Brianna Hildebrand (Deadpool’s Negasonic Teenage Warhead) is coming to The Great Philadelphia Comic Con on Saturday April 8th and Sunday April 9, 2017!

Brianna Hildebrand made her acting career debut from the web series Annie Undocumented, where she was featured in the role of Jen in 2014. The web series was created by Brian Yang, Elaine Low, and Daniel Hsia and the series was named the best web series at 2014 New York TV Festival. Later in 2015, Brianna Hildebrand made her appearance in the movie Prism, where she played the character of Julia. Her one of the most famous role in the movie includes the character of Sasha in the American romantic drama film First Girl I Loved.

Brianna Hildebrand’s most successful movie came on 2016 the movie was entitled Deadpool, the movie based on a black comedy superhero. For her acting in the movie, she was nominated for the Teen Choice Awards 2016. Hildebrand is currently busy in the shooting of her upcoming projects, First Girl I Loved (2016) and Tragedy Girls (2017). She has also been announced for an upcoming sequel project, but we will let you guess what that is.

She joins fellow media stars Alan Tudyk (Rogue One), Angus Macinnes (Judge Dredd), David Ankrum (voice A New Hope), Alan Harris (Empire Strikes Back), Sean Schemmel and Mike McFarland (voice Dragonball Z), Veronica Taylor (Sailor Moon), Marina Sirtis (Star Trek: The Next Generation), Bruce Boxleitner (Tron), John Wesley Shipp (The Flash), and Karan Ashley and Walter Jones (Mighty Morphin Power Rangers).

Comics guests include Neal Adams (Superman), Mike Zeck (The Amazing Spider-Man), Jim Shooter (Secret Wars), Michael Golden (Doctor Strange), Ty Templeton (Batman ’66), Chriscross (Unity), and Graham Nolan (Detective Comics).

Ed Brubaker and Darwyn Cooke appear at the Bloor Cinema on Saturday May 10th at 5:00 pm for a screening. A signing will follow at the Beguiling!

Join two of comics’ greatest crime noir authors and Featured Guests of the Toronto Comic Arts Festival, Ed Brubaker (Criminal, Fatale) and Darwyn Cooke (Parker, Selina’s Big Score), in a special evening of comics and noir! The two will discuss their work and influences with special guest interviewer Cameron Ashley (Crime Factor), and they’ll cover their love of all things down, dirty, and mean. Cooke and Brubaker will then introduce a special screening of one of their favourite crime films, Stanley Kubrick’s The Killing. Tickets are $7 in advance, $10 at the door, and are available now online at the link… 

His first feature film, Kubrick’s The Killing chronicles a racetrack heist that goes terribly wrong. Widely regarded as one of Hollywood’s greatest noir achievements, The Killing has influenced generations of crime writers, including Brubaker and Cooke.

Admission to this event is $7 in advance, $10 at the door. The doors for the event will open at 5:00 pm, with the talk beginning at 5:30 pm. If you’re buying through Eventbrite, you will be able to have your ticket verified and exchanged for a general-admission ticket at the theatre beginning at 4:00 pm. Please arrive early and bring a printed ticket to speed entry.

A signing session with both authors will follow the screening. It will be held at The Beguiling Books & Art, 601 Markham Street, a short distance from the event space.
