Boston Comic Con is happy to announce that Celebrity Photo Op Tickets are now on sale for the 2014 convention!

 Get your photo professionally taken with:

1. Jason Momoa of Game of Thrones

2. John Barrowman of Arrow and Torchwood

3. Sean Astin of The Lord of The Rings

4. James Marsters of Buffy The Vampire Slayer

5. Jewel Staite of Firefly

6. Sam Witwer of Being Human

All professional photo ops cost $60.  It includes one 8 x 10 color photo of the fan and the celebrity. Advanced tickets for celebrity photo ops can be only purchased on line by clicking here. Celebrity photo ops are scheduled at specific times on specific days. The schedule is subject to change. Celebrity photo op tickets do not include admission to the Boston Comic Con or a celebrity autograph. Celebrity autographs are on a first come first serve basis and can only be purchased at the celebrity’s table on site at the show by waiting in line.  All celebrity autographs cost $40.  The number of professional celebrity photo op tickets is limited. A maximum of two (2) adults and four (4) children under 12 may appear in the same photo. Below is the celebrity photo op schedule.

Firefly’s Jewel Staite Comes to Boston Comic Con 2014

Boston Comic Con is excited to welcome JEWEL STAITE to our 2014 convention n August 8th – 10th! Jewel Staite is best known for playing Kaylee Frye, the cheerful ship’s mechanic, on Joss Whedon’s beloved space western series Firefly. Jewel made her feature film debut reprising the role in 2005′s Serenity. Since then she has gone on to portray Dr. Jennifer Keller on Syfy’s Stargate: Atlantis alongside fellow Boston Comic Con guest Jason Momoa. Jewel has also held roles on series including The Killing, State of Syn, Animism, The L.A. Complex, and Space Cases. Furthermore she has made appearances on several genre shows like Supernatural, The X-Files, and Warehouse 13.

Khal Drogo Appears at Boston Comic Con 2014

JASON MOMOA, star of Game of Thrones and Conan the Barbarian, joins Boston Comic Con in 2014 along with superstar comic legend ADAM KUBERT.

Jason Momoa is best known as Khal Drogo, the Dothraki warlord from HBO’s megahit Games of Thrones. Jason also played the title role of Conan the Barbarian in the latest feature film adaptation of the swords and sorcery classic, and starred in Stargate Atlantis for several seasons. Jason is also rumored to have a major role in the upcoming Superman vs. Batman movie. Currently he plays the lead character on the crime drama Red Road which premieres in February 2014 on the Sundance Channel.

akubert_origin2Adam Kubert is a comic artist best known for his work with Marvel Comics on Wolverine, Incredible Hulk, Ultimate Fantastic Four, and X-Men. Son of Golden Age legend Joe Kubert, with whom Adam collaborated on the Sgt. Rock strip in Wednesday Comics, Adam is both a graduate of and instructor at the famed Kubert School. Most recently Adam worked on Marvel’s Avengers vs. X-Men and Infinity crossovers and this past week released the highly anticipated Origin II, which further expands on Wolverine’s early days.

ORLANDO MEGACON ANNOUNCES INITIAL 2012 GUEST LINEUP

MegaCon, the largest comic book, anime, gaming and multi media event in the Southeast, is pleased to make its initial announcement of guests. MegaCon will take place February 17th – 19th, 2012 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, FL.

MegaCon is proud to announce the appearance of Kate Mulgrew who played Captain Kathryn Janeway from the TV series Star Trek: Voyager

New York Comic Con Announces Celebrity Guests for 2010

NEW YORK COMIC CON ANNOUNCES GUESTS FROM ENTERTAINMENT WORLD

Celebrity Appearances at NYCC Span the Pop Culture Universe

Norwalk, CT, July 15, 2010: New York Comic Con (NYCC) has today announced a line up of celebrity actor guests who have starred in television, film and theater and who will appear at the show to autograph and mingle with fans. The introduction of these Special Guests highlights the scope of the convention’s guest appearances and underscores the broad appeal of New York Comic Con which has rapidly become a pre-eminent pop culture event. The entertainment guests who have been announced are: Christopher Judge, James Marsters, Katee Sackhoff, and Ian Whyte. They join other celebrity guests from the world of comics including Stan Lee, John Romita, Sr., and John Romita, Jr. among many others. Officials at NYCC recently announced a line up of comic guests including Adam Hughes, Steve McNiven, Steve Epting, Bob Layton and Greg Pak. The New York Comic will be co-located with the New York Anime Festival (NYAF) this year and will take place at the Jacob K. Javits Center in New York City, October 8 – 10, 2010. Both shows are produced by ReedPOP, a boutique group within Reed Exhibitions.

“These celebrity guests from the world of TV and film have contributed enormously to the pop culture world and they have helped bring iconic comic and pop culture characters to life,” notes Lance Fensterman, Vice President for ReedPOP and Show Manager for NYCC. “We are indebted to them for making their time available to us and for being available to our thousands of fans. This certainly proves how vast the pop culture universe is and we plan to include ALL of it at NYCC! This year’s show will be bigger than ever.”

With the exception of James Marsters, the celebrity guest appearances are sponsored by Celebrity Authentics and they will be appearing in the Celebrity Authentics booth. James Marsters will appear in Autograph Alley, as well as participate in panels and a Saturday (October 9, 2010) evening concert. JAMES MARSTERS:

James Marsters may best be known for the role of Spike, the cult favorite punk-goth vampire from Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel. His credits also include Smallville, Torchwood, and Caprica. He’ll be signing in Autograph Alley and be performing a concert on Saturday night.

KATEE SACKHOFF:

As one of the stars of the critically acclaimed television series, Battlestar Galactica, Katee Sackhoff has wowed fans and critics alike with her portrayal of Kara “Starbuck” Thrace. Beyond Galactica, she’s well known as Dana Walsh on 24. Katee is appearing at the Celebrity Authentics booth.

CHRISTOPHER JUDGE:

Judge is best known as Teal’c from the Stargate saga. While at a friend’s house, Judge saw his friend’s roommate practicing for the ­SG-1 audition and was intrigued. While the roommate was away, Judge looked at the audition notes, then called his agent and insisted he get him an audition or lose him as a client. In addition to starring in SG-1, he has written three episodes for the series: “The Changeling”, “Birthright”, and “Sacrifices”. Christopher is appearing at the Celebrity Authentics booth

IAN WHYTE:

Actor Ian Whyte’s the man in the suit for all the Predators (thanks to computer technology) in Alien vs. Predator, and Alien vs. Predator: Requiem. He’s also one half of Madame Maxime in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and can be seen in Clash of The Titans, DragonBall Evolution, and Solomon Kane. Ian is appearing at the Celebrity Authentics booth
