MA – Maynard Library Comics Workshop

Cartoonists Shelli Paroline and Braden Lamb appear at the Maynard Public Library on Saturday, January 27th at 2:00 PM as part of their 2nd annual comic convention.

Shelli Paroline escaped early on into the world of cartoons and science fiction, and from there launched into creating comics. She and her husband Braden Lamb form an Eisner Award-winning art team, collaborating on such series as the Adventure Time comics and The Midas Flesh. Their most recent work is Making Scents, a graphic novel for kids.

MeCAF 2017 Programming Schedule Announced

The Maine Comics Arts Festival (MeCAF) will be held in Portland on Saturday, June 17th, 2017 at the Main Branch of the Portland Public Library. The event is free and open to the public. Join us on Saturday, April 8th for the fourth annual Beverly Comic Con hosted at Porter Mill Studios!

Free to the public, family friendly and jam packed with local comic creators and unique vendors. Original art, posters, prints, handmade collectibles, t-shirts, graphic novels and of course comic books, will all be on hand for this one of a kind event.

Free admission with plenty of parking across the street at the garage.

Porter Mill Gallery is proud to present “North Shore Comics Mayhem!”, on display in our gallery from May 6th-May 28th!

North Shore Comics Mayhem features original comics and cartoon artwork from local independent comic artists ERIC BOEKER, BRADEN LAMB, SHELLI PAROLINE and DIRK I. TIEDE. Be prepared for zombies, werewolves, giant monsters & robots, sci-fi action, and sweeping fantasy adventures!

This show will highlight a comic book artist’s process, displaying inked works, pencilled layouts, color prints, and more!
