WI – Firestar Signing

Comments Off

Sean McKeever is visiting Neptune Comics from 11 am – 1 pm on April 21st. The tour, a promotional event for his newest book series, Firestar (pictured #1), premiers April 21 at local comic book stores nation wide, published by Marvel Comics.

Sean McKeever is known world-wide for his work with both Marvel and DC comics, as well as his independant work, The Waiting Place, a graphic novel about growing up in small town Wisconsin. McKeever is Eisner Award winner, the Oscars of the comic book world. Sean McKeever grew up reading comic books in his parent’s Eagle River hardware store, starting when he was only 3 years old. As a teenager his first business was a small comic book store where he sold comic books out of that same hardware store. To get a job with big publishers like Marvel and DC comics seemed like a dream to a young McKeever – but for him the dream DID come true.

Neptune Comics in Waukesha, Wisconsin is currently Sean McKeever’s only Wisconsin signing for this new comic series.

Event Info
Date: Wednesday, April 21, 2010
Time: 11 am – 1 pm
Where: Neptune Comics, 2120 E Moreland Blvd, Waukesha, WI
Contact: Craig Lopacinski, 262-544-2008

Neptune Comics will be giving away the first issue of Firestar, while supplies last, and Sean McKeever will be signing that comic book as well as any other works he has written.  The event is free. Book purchase is not required for the book signing, however there will be books available for purchase.
