Mike Mignola, Doug Wheatley, Randy Stradley, Scott Allie, and Kari Yadro sign on Saturday, August 13th from 1:00pm – 4:00pm.
Guest bios:
Mike Mignola- In 1994, Mike Mignola brought his unparalleled art and storytelling to Dark Horse Presents, with the launch of his character Hellboy. Since that time, he has collaborated with celebrated director Guillermo del Toro on two films based on the character, and has expanded beyond this flagship title into an entire line of books, including BPRD, Witchfinder, and many others, featuring prominent characters from the Hellboy universe, like Abe Sapien and Lobster Johnson. He has also cowritten two Baltimore miniseries with writer Christopher Golden, continuing the story from their novel Baltimore, or, The Steadfast Tin Soldier and the Vampire.
Randy Stradley- A longime veteran of the comics industry, Stradley cut his teeth writing issue #86 of the Marvel Star Wars series. Only fitting that 27 years later, he serves as the Dark Horse VP of Publishing, and helms the entire Dark Horse Star Wars comics program. He has penned numerous Star Wars comics over the years, such as Crimson Empire and Jedi Council: Acts of War. Additionally, he is credited (by everyone but himself) as the co-founder of Dark Horse Comics with Mike Richardson.
Scott Allie- He’s perhaps best known for editing such high-profile Dark Horse titles as Hellboy, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and the Umbrella Academy. However, he has written numerous titles for the publisher over the years, including The Devil’s Footprints, Solomon Kane, and Star Wars: Empire. Most recently, he wrote BPRD: The Dead Remembered, Star Wars: Jedi- The Dark Side, and co-wrote the game-changing final arc of Buffy: Season 8 with Joss Whedon.
Kari Yadro- As the Events and Community Manager at Dark Horse Comics, Kari Yadro has helped to plan, oversee and execute Dark Horse’s trade show presence from Book Expo America to Comic Con International. She plans and oversees every author event in both the comic shops and bookstores, bringing her unmatched level of enthusiasm with her wherever she goes.
Doug Wheatley- Wheatley is without a doubt one of the greatest comics artist to ever carry the Star Wars banner. His catalog of work is widely celebrated, including the legendary Star Wars: Empire- Darklighter series, as well as the critically acclaimed one-shot, Star Wars: Purge. Currently, he works on the Star Wars: Dark Times series with writer, Mick Harrison.
