Kibuishi is also known for his work editing the comic anthology Flight, and designing the book covers for the recent re-release of the complete Harry Potter book series.

Meet Tom Tomorrow on Saturday March 15, 2014 at 2:00 PM. He is the creator of the weekly political cartoon, This Modern World, which appears in approximately 80 newspapers across the U.S., and on websites such as Daily Kos and The Nation. His work has appeared in publications including The New York Times, The New Yorker, Spin, Mother Jones, Esquire, The Economist, and U.S. News and World Report. He is the 2013 recipient of the Herblock Prize for excellence in editorial cartooning, and a two-time recipient of the RFK Award for Journalism.

Meet cartoonist and The Simpsons writer Tom Gammill on Saturday September 14, 2013 from 1-3pm! Gammill is an Emmy award winning writer whose credits also include Seinfeld, Late Night with David Letterman, and Monk. As a kid Gammill dreamed of one day being the next Charles Schulz, but his lack of talent and intelligence led him to the world of TV. Gammill will discuss how his love of cartooning has helped him as a TV writer, using examples from Seinfeld, The Simpsons, and several flop shows he worked on that never made it on the air. Gammill’s comic strip, The Doozies, appears in several weekly newspapers and online at GoComics.com.

CA – Miss Lonleyhearts Signing

Cartoonist Gabrielle Gamboa appears on Saturday, December 8, 2012 from 1:00 till 3:00 pm. Her comics have appeared in Truthout.org, Bust Magazine, Scherherazade, and others. Gamboa’s current project, Miss Lonleyhearts, is an on-going comic book adaptation of the Nathanael West novella.

CA – The Art and Making of Peanuts Animation

Lee Mendelson, executive producer of many of the Peanuts animated specials, and author Charles Solomon, appear on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at 1:00 pm to speak about the art and making of the animated specials and to celebrate the release of Solomon’s new book, The Art and Making of Peanuts Animation.

Alexis E. Fajardo appears at the Schulz Museum on Sunday, November 18, 2012 from 1:00 – 3:00 pm. CA – Second Saturday Cartoonist

Pixar animator Sequoia Blankenship appears at the Schulz Museum on Saturday 10, 2012 from 1:00 – 3:00 pm. Blankenship started working as a fix animator on Ratatouille in 2007 and more recently worked as an animator on BraveCars 2, and Mater’s Tall Tales.
