Atlanta-based cartoonist Robert W. Pope appears at the Charles M. Schulz Museum on Friday June 20th at 2:00 pm. For over 15 years, Pope has specialized in bringing many of our favorite animated characters to the comic book page, including Peanuts, Scooby-Doo, Bugs Bunny, Johnny Bravo, Batman and many others. Pope has contributed to several of the new Peanuts comic books and will be available to sketch, answer questions, and sign comics.

Meet award-winning graphic novelist Kazu Kibuishi, creator of the series Amulet, at the Charles M. Schulz Museum on Saturday April 12, 2014 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. Meet Tom Tomorrow on Saturday March 15, 2014 at 2:00 PM. He is the creator of the weekly political cartoon, This Modern World, which appears in approximately 80 newspapers across the U.S., and on websites such as Daily Kos and The Nation. His work has appeared in publications including The New York Times, The New Yorker, Spin, Mother Jones, Esquire, The Economist, and U.S. News and World Report. He is the 2013 recipient of the Herblock Prize for excellence in editorial cartooning, and a two-time recipient of the RFK Award for Journalism.

Meet cartoonist and The Simpsons writer Tom Gammill on Saturday September 14, 2013 from 1-3pm! Gammill is an Emmy award winning writer whose credits also include Seinfeld, Late Night with David Letterman, and Monk. As a kid Gammill dreamed of one day being the next Charles Schulz, but his lack of talent and intelligence led him to the world of TV. Gammill will discuss how his love of cartooning has helped him as a TV writer, using examples from Seinfeld, The Simpsons, and several flop shows he worked on that never made it on the air. Gammill’s comic strip, The Doozies, appears in several weekly newspapers and online at GoComics.com.

CA – Miss Lonleyhearts Signing

Cartoonist Gabrielle Gamboa appears on Saturday, December 8, 2012 from 1:00 till 3:00 pm. Her comics have appeared in Truthout.org, Bust Magazine, Scherherazade, and others. Gamboa’s current project, Miss Lonleyhearts, is an on-going comic book adaptation of the Nathanael West novella.
