NEW YORK, NY – September 24, 2010 – During New York Comic Con, AMC will premiere the first full scenes from the network’s highly anticipated series, “The Walking Dead.” In addition to the exclusive preview, the stars and producers of the drama, based on the comic book written by Robert Kirkman, will be present for a panel scheduled for Sunday, October 10 at 2:15pm in the IGN Theater. The event will include series stars Andrew Lincoln (Love Actually), Jon Bernthal (“The Pacific”), Sarah Wayne Callies (“Prison Break”), Laurie Holden (The Mist), and Steven Yeun (“The Big Bang Theory”). Joining the cast are writer, director, executive producer and three-time Academy Award nominee Frank Darabont (The Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile) and executive producers, Robert Kirkman and Gale Anne Hurd (The Terminator, Aliens, Armageddon). “The Walking Dead” will premiere on Halloween at 10pm EST on AMC.

During the 90-minute event, moderator Eric Moro of IGN.com will lead panelists in a discussion about their experience shooting the “The Walking Dead,” and the process of bringing Kirkman’s comic book to life on the small screen, among other topics. The panel will be followed by a Q&A session with attendees.

IGN THEATER AT NEW YORK COMIC CON IS CENTER OF ATTRACTION FOR MOVIE AND TV CONTENT

Writers, Directors, Producers and Stars Take the Stage in Weekend-Long Marathon with Panels Featuring Discussions, Q & A’s, Previews and Sneak Peeks

Norwalk, CT, October 4, 2010: This year’s New York Comic Con will not only be the largest in terms of size and attendance but the show will boast by far its most substantial line up of Hollywood talent and celebrity since the convention was launched in 2006. The center piece of all the movie and television activity will be the IGN Theater, the hub of programming at NYCC, located in the Special Events Hall on Level 1 of the Jacob K. Javits Center. The theater seats 3000 and is equipped with surround sound, HD projection and 2 giant 30ft screens. New York Comic Con will take place at the Javits Center this weekend, October 8 – 10, 2010.

Highlights in the IGN Theater include panels and previews of Hanna, The Thing, Your Highness, The Walking Dead, The Vampire Diaries, Nikita, V, and more! 1. Do I need a special ticket? You do not need a ticket but the theater fills up for all events so get there early to make sure you get a seat.
2. Do you clear the room between events? We do not. So if media and movie programming is your thing, you can camp out all day!
3. Can I bring my camera? There is NO video or photography of any knd of the footage being presented.
4. How do I get to the IGN Theater? Head down the escalators to level one and look for signs that say IGN Theater or Special Events Hall.
