Philadelphia Comic-Con Returns in November 2011 with Billy Tucci, Rick Leonardi, and More

It is the return of the Philadelphia Comic-Con on Sunday November 20th. The comic book convention is held at the Ramada Philadelphia Airport located at 76 Industrial Highway (Route 291) in Essington, PA 19029. The hotel is conveniently located between exits 8 and 9A off of I-95. It is also close to I-76,I-476 and most bridges from New Jersey. Show hours are 10 AM to 4 PM. Admission is only $3 per person. Students of any age are admitted free with a current id. Also admitted free are active military personnel and their families. Parking is also free on premises. For those of you that do not drive Septa Bus Route 37 stops directly in front of the hotel.
It is quite a site to behold with 60+ tables at the show in the 4,500 square foot ballroom of the hotel. Dealers from 6 states setup there selling, buying and even trading with collectors. Thousands and thousands of comic books from the 1940′s to present day will be for sale at the show. Also available will be collecting supplies, graphic novels, action figures, statues, non-sportcards, dvd’s and original artwork. The show has become a fan favorite for years with people travelling up to 3 hours one way just to shop at the show.
Special guest artists this month are Bill Tucci, Rob Feldman and Rick Leonardi. Bill is the creator of Shi which since its inception has seen over 25 million comic books in print along with a whole host of related merchandise and tie in issues with Marvel and Image Comics. A “Shi” movie is in the works with Tia Carrerre already signed on to star in this feature film project. Bill’s latest project is an entire graphic novel based on the nativity. This show will be the East Coast debut of his latest book. More information on Bill can be found at crusadefinearts.com. Rob is a locally based artist/web developer who’s creation Dr. Shroud has garnered an international audience with interest from Hollywood in optioning his work for an upcoming movie. More information on Doctor Shroud can be found at drshroud.com. Rick’s vast work in the comic industry since 1980 has garnered the respect from all artists in the field. His work has encompassed most major characters from DC and Marvel Comics. He also co-designed the black costume that Spider-Man wore in the “Secret Wars” storyline which later became the hugely popular character Venom.

Press Release: Heroes Convention is preparing for one of the LARGEST Guest Lists in it’s 28 year history this June 4-6!
